I'm on a mission to play heroes I haven't played much, or indeed, at all. I've also realised I need to play different styles of hero; I usually enjoy a reasonable build out; get Supports and Upgrades out -> exhaust lots of cards each turn -> do lots of things.

Fly my pretties, fly.

Indeed.

I don't usually play heroes a huge amount who constantly discard either their own cards or from the encounter deck. I need to change that mindset.

Enter Black Widow.

Oh, I know she's good.

So yes, Justice I understand is a good aspect for her, but I've gone with Protection - plenty of tech and with Agents of Shield and Winter Solider, comes a couple of extra tricks for 'Tash.

Upgrades

Let's not play about, let's load her up.

Her hit points are dire, so Endurance to kick things off. Couple with the combo of Armored Vestand her own Synth-Suit - the latter being a wonderful card for readying - gives you a base 4 DEF, with another combo of Electrostatic Armor and Energy Barrier if you can get them both out together.

That's a pretty stable set-up right there.

This deck slightly hinges on getting S.H.I.E.L.D. Deputy out quite early to help with playing some Supports - more on that later.

I've thrown in 2 x Espionage but these can be removed if you're not dealing with a surge-heavy encounter deck.

Of course, Practiced Plan helps recycle your lovely prep cards Attacrobatics, Grappling Hook and Widow's Bite.

Supports

Given her low REC, Crew Quarters essentially gives you 4 REC standard and an extra recovery before you flip-up again and The Night Nurse to reinforce some healing and status removal too.

Now, I have done a very SHIELD-loaded deck and like this deck you'll need to play S.H.I.E.L.D. Deputy in alter-ego for that to work - for now, I'm keeping this deck tech and prep based.

Other than Black Widow's Gauntlet, we could do with some resource generation, so in comes Quinjet and from Agents of Shield, welcome Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons with Helicarrier too.

Allies

White Widow feels like an absolute must; as a 2 THW, if you can keep in her in the game for a good few rounds, that'll be wonderfully helpful to keep a lid on treat levels.

Spider-Byte should also come in at a reduced cost too if you have any tech on the table.

And of course, the ol' Blade + Earth's Mightiest Heroes trick for cheap readying; with this and Synth-Suit - plenty of readying to be had.

Events

I've added just True Grit here. I did think about Not Today! but I figured the treat removal is guaranteed with True Grit regardless.

And there you have it. Keen to get some comments on this - please be kind!

If you are going to Defend -since you have good DEF and you can ready with the suit- you could add Angel's Aerie

@Alamantra thanks - Angel's Aerie was a heavy consideration and absolutely one you could put in. I don't always subscribe to having to stick to 40 card decks; with this amount of upgrades, going a little over is fine.
