This deck has been so much fun to play. Maybe my favorite. I really hope you enjoy it.

Strategy:

  • Try flip every turn to maximize your card draw and persona support cards.
  • Focus on upgrades and support cards early, Their relative importance depends on the situation, but this is the general priority I follow:
    1. Aamir Khan
    2. Biokinetic Polymer Suit
    3. Nakia Bahadir
    4. Shrink (solo)
    5. Helicarrier
    6. Endurance
    7. Embiggen!
    8. Martial Prowess
    9. Shrink (multiplayer)
  • In solo, it's good to get Shrink in play early. In multiplayer, it really depends on who else is playing.
  • Melee + Embiggen! = 5 damage to two enemies
  • In solo, Drop Kick + Morphogenetics can achieve a stun lock for several turns if you pay with all physical resources. Hence, Martial Prowess and Enhanced Physique
  • Toe to Toe + Embiggen! + Wiggle Room = 7 damage for probably no damage. Since Toe to Toe is a 1 cost, you could easily play it twice with Morphogenetics and get 12 damage in one turn and still have half your hand left.
  • Toe to Toe is also a good way to trigger "You'll Pay for That!" during your turn before more threat is added in step 1 of the villain phase.
  • "You'll Pay for That!" + Morphogenetics = up to 10 threat removed for 2 cost. That's ridiculous in an aggression deck.
  • The allies are primarily for steady threat removal; or in the case of Mockingbird, to allow you to stay in hero mode for an extra two turns to keep threat down.
  • Bruno Carrelli is not amazing, but if you start your turn in Alter-ego mode and Bruno Carrelli is in play, plan your moves before flipping to Hero mode. I actually lay my cards out on the table with the resources I'll pay for each. If you're going to have any cards left over, stash one of them with Bruno Carrelli before you flip.

Mulligan:

  • Don't hesitate to ruthlessly discard great event cards in your mulligan. The deck if full of great events, so don't worry you'll draw more event cards later when they're more useful. Focus on double resource, support, and upgrade cards. Ideally, you'll be able to play at least 2 setup cards on your first turn.
  • If you draw Bruno Carrelli in you're initial draw, discard him with your mulligan. He's not as useful as your other setup cards.

Sideboard:

Notable Exclusions

  • Avengers Mansion - I found that early in the game, there are so many good setup cards still in the deck that I would be forced to spend 2 or 3 great setup cards if I wanted to play Avengers Mansion, which doesn't make sense. Later in the game, it's easier to play; but at that point, it's not as useful as playing attack events.
  • The Power of Justice - the cost curve is pretty low on this deck and I kept finding myself not able to use it for 2
  • Down Time - with only 10 health (13 w/ Endurance) and a recovery of 5. I found that I was able to keep healthy enough without this since I try to flip almost every turn.
  • Chase Them Down - I found "You'll Pay for That!" is easier to trigger when I need it and can remove more threat.

Feedback

I don't have all the sets at this point, so I'm interested to hear your feedback especially if there are cards from Doctor Strange, Black Widow, or Rise of the Red Skull that would improve this.
