Decked Halls 2021: She-Hulk Smashes

Welcome to Decked Halls 2021 - Each year KennedyHawk (me) from the MCM crew puts out some decks near the holidays - this will probably be our last year making a deck for every hero so I wanted to try something new. What I'll be doing is visiting each characters preconstructed deck and reconstructing it. Each character will be able to drop 10 cards and add 10 replacements from other sets. Characters will stay in their preconstructed aspect. Cards are limited by a playset (how many you have in your collection if you buy one of every pack). So by the end we will be making some real sacrifices. Watch for audio casts on the MCM podcast and youtube feed in the coming weeks going over these decks.

If you are hesitant to deck building you can try using these decks in your collection as a new set of preconstructed decks that fine tune each one.

First up are the core set heroes - here is a She-Hulk deck with a few thoughts.

She-Hulk came with a preconstructed Aggression deck and we really gutted it. I'm using the precons from the back of the learn to play for the core set so 2 heroes actually come with Aggression precons - She-Hulk will have to learn to share with Iron Man as we build all these decks from one collection.

She-Hulk has a fairl high cost curve so we removed a bunch of expensive cards that just aren't worth their cost with this Green Goliath - we dropped Uppercut, Tac Team, and Relentless Assault. We also dropped Tenacity shocking no one, Haymaker, and 2 copies of The Power of Aggression. Ultimatly we dropped 20 printed card cost from our 10 cards removed.

We added 2 copies of Looking for Trouble to fish out minions and combo with Chase Them Down. We also brought 2 copies of Lie in Wait to make dealing with those minions a bit easier. The real wombo-combo here is Counterattack so we included all 3 copies. She-Hulk has a huge HP pool and we can take advantage of that with this preparation and ideal finisher is taking 7-8 to face from a villain attack and throwing it back - then slamming them with a Gamma Slam using that damage twice as a benefit.

We want to make sure we are able to take this hit and are prepared for it - so we brought along 1 Endurance to get our HP pool above 15, 1 extra First Aid to get us in that ideal counter-attack safe zone, and one more ally Wasp. You could push this deck and concept further but that was what we could get done with 10 cards and I was really eager to try it out against Rhino. Let's just say Rhino charge into himself a few times.
