This deck is built for the Winning Hand podcast episode 69, which is all about Joining Forces. See Boomguy's write up here:
I chose Nebula because of her ability to use resources and card draw, to increase the chances of paying for Joining Forces and having a Guardian and Avenger. When it worked, it was beautiful.
I added Build Support to bring in Quincarrier. That plus Clarity of Purpose, and Helicarrier, (plus Quincarrier and Nebula's Ship, you are in good shape with resources. (I had tried Organizational Support but it didn't work as it was limited to Guardian cards).
I chose 5 Avengers to match 5 Guardians. Major Victory because you can defend with Nebula, then defend with Major Victory, let him die, and then Nebula refreshes.
I picked Rocket Raccoon over Drax because Rocket is more versatile with minions and can thwart.
Yondu is an expensive ally that works well with Joining Forces.
For Avengers, I picked very expensive allies that also help with card draw.
Beast is going to give you more resources.
Captain Marvel is going to do lots of damage.
Giant-Man will do lots of damage.
Kaluu for card draw.
White Tiger for card draw.
The Regroup help.
You definitely need The Triskelion to make sure you can use Joining Forces to have slots for you new heroes.
I added in Endurance because Nebula is still squishy. She needs Booster Boots.
I ended up hitting Joining Forces enough times. It just takes a bit to set up.
This deck can definitely hit in true solo.

Jul 02, 2025Linked: marvelcdb.com I love the idea of having a deck that doesn’t actually include the card, but supports it! |
FWIW I bought this comic (Avengers 260) when it came out during Secret Wars II. How Black Knight and Captain America are breathing in the middle of space is beyond me.
