This deck utilizes Rapid Response with allies, most notably Shuri to tutor your suit cards multiple times, never losing her, as well as Inspired & Honorary Avenger to build a fully upgraded Iron Man!
Overview
-
Shuri & Rapid Response allow you to build your suit rapidly in the first pass through your deck.
-
Late game with Shuri you'll be able to easily build your upgraded Iron Man as she can go get Inspired and Honorary Avenger for him.
-
Rapid Response's "put defeated ally into play from your discard pile" works with every ally in the deck except for Iron Man, who you'll buff up with Inspired for free.
Strategy:
Mulligan
- The Golden City
- Resources (of course)
- Low-cost ally
- Shuri
-
A lot of this of course depends on what you have resources for and if one of them is The Power of Leadership, etc.
-
Don't worry too much if you have to dump a suit card, as long as you have Ancestral Knowledge somewhere in your deck, you'll be able to build your suit first pass.
Early Game (First Time Through Your Deck)
-
You basically want to build your engine (Quincarrier, Helicarrier, The Triskelion, The Golden City, etc.) and suit simultaneously with the most efficiency during your first pass through your deck.
-
If you've dumped any of your suit, you can go back and get it with Ancestral Knowledge so that you make sure that your suit is built as quickly as possible utilizing Shuri's ability.
-
If you lose Shuri, you can easily get her with Make the Call or Ancestral Knowledge.
Late Game
-
Once you have your suit build and engine in place, you'll want to start to build a 4-ally board with The Triskelion.
-
Now you'll use Rapid Response more efficiently for your higher-cost allies. Especially utilizing continuous stuns with Mockingbird.
-
Use Shuri to tutor Inspired & Honorary Avenger to build your buffed up Iron Man -- Inspired will be free.
-
Once you have your ally board state built up, you want to use your card draw to get as many Wakanda Forever! as possible. You'll do this with Strength In Numbers, Maria Hill, and Nick Fury, which both combo with Make the Call or Rapid Response.
Allies
-
Leadership is probably the best aspect right now, especially when it comes to solo play. The efficiency of their low-cost allies providing a "chump-block" while also being able to THW or ATK, etc. really has them as the most powerful tool in the game with the current card pool.
-
To start off, you definitely want to have one in hand, eventually filling your board with the max of 4 so you can block every turn with an ally and use Strength In Numbers. By late game, you'll want to only be drawing allies or Wakanda Forever!.
- Pairs with literally every ally in this deck (aside from Iron Man) with the "put defeated ally into play" Hero Response.
Other Card Considerations:
-
Heimdall -- You can add him to use the Rapid Response combo, however I really like low-cost allies in this deck, especially when they can use The Power of Leadership.
-
Avengers Mansion -- Black Panther can certainly pay for it with his Vibranium. However, I tried to build this deck to be as fast as possible. Often you'll be discarding this the first time through your deck, but would help later.
-
Strength In Numbers -- This is such a great card late game for Black Panther once you have all 4 allies in play. You could definitely add more copies, but you won't see the best efficiency early. And I didn't include Avengers Tower so you won't be able to have 5 allies. You could however tweak the deck and make it more like @dr00's deck, a very good deck in its own right: https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/449/wakanda-forever-and-ever-and-ever-and-ever-an-1.0
-
First Aid -- You could definitely throw in a copy to use on high-cost allies or Iron Man after he is buffed up with upgrades so he never leaves the table after he has Inspired.
...Any suggestions/feedback or playthrough results are appreciated, thanks! Also if your'e interested, check out my other decks I've playtested extensively and have gotten a lot of love:

Aug 25, 2020The return of Brian-V! Great deck. BP Leadership was one of my favorite combos out of the core set. |
Aug 26, 2020the one and only Brian-V is back with a vengeance. can't wait to try this one |
Aug 28, 2020Awesome deck! Which piece of the suit do you get first, or do you have an order in mind for getting your suit upgrades? |
Aug 29, 2020I played this deck solo today against Expert Rhino and it just flowed so smoothly. I might have had lucky Encounter draws, but the engine with Shuri/Maria and Make the Call/Rapid Response just let me get set up so quickly, and then after that it was smooth sailing. Really good deck. |
Aug 30, 2020I tried this deck out tonight in tribute to Chadwick Boseman. 3 player vs Expert Klaw. I had some resource timing issues at the start, so my Ally game never really took off, but aside from that it played great. And I got the final hit against Klaw with a Wakanda Forever. R.I.P. Mr. Boseman. |

Aug 30, 2020@yusaku77 ...Sounds like that's the way it was supposed to go down, a very nice sentiment. :) We lost a great talent and inspirational figure way too early in life -- so sad. To be battling cancer the entire time, what a warrior. RIP King T'Challa <img src="consequenceofsound.net width="525" height="300"> |
Sep 02, 2020Played this deck in memory of King T'Challa. Definitely the most fun Black Panther deck so far. |
Jan 29, 2021"Rapid Response's "put defeated ally into play from your discard pile" works with every ally in the deck except for Iron Man." Why? He's also an all? |

Feb 24, 2021Hey, based on the latest cards especially the ally buffs, what would you change? |
Have you considered dropping Power of Leadership for Get Ready? With Vibranium, doesn't seem like you'd need Power Ofs as much, and Get Ready could allow you to cycle Shuri faster.
