Show them who the real leader of the Guardians is! This deck is able to handle any threat on the able while also dealing with any other obstacles in your way.

This deck is paired with an Aggression Groot deck https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/28513/gn-r-groot-n-rocket-1.0.

How does it handle threat so well? Constant readying. You’ll think you’re playing Quicksilver with your ability to flip down with the added bonus of a 4 thw constant stat line. Your ability to handle the situation will surely confuse the villain, and this decks lock them down in confuse lock in addition!

You’ll be using your basic thwart almost every time, with the rare instance of an unlucky attack to recover from or the random basic attack because you’ve run out of thwart to remove.

I've Got a Plan is one of the best thwart cards in the game, as it defaults as 1.5 threat/ER, and easily gets to 2.5threat/ER with Heroic Intuition and Thruster Boots that only requires you thwart ahead of time. That's not an issue as that's what you should be doing with your basic action anyway, and if you do, that nets you a total of 9 thwart removed with upgrades out (4 initial thwart + the new 5) add in a Justice Served and that's ANOTHER 5 thwart removed, provided you kill a side scheme or clear the main...which you should have done with all that thwarting.

Have a Justice Served in hand with one on the table? Clear all the threat from a scheme, ready up and discard the upgrade, and then place it down again and rinse and repeat. That’s another 2er for up to 5 threat.

Allies are your lifeline while in hero form. Groot (or your teammates) should help run interference while you help them flip down and handle all the threats.

Your biggest issue is getting confused yourself, But since you can keep the villain confused, losing a turn to clear a confuse, or the random exhaust, won’t be an issue. Stalwart villains are as always a challenge, but your thwarting abilities can hang with them. In those matchups you’d want to swap out the confuses for more threat like Lay Down the Law or Agile Flight. You can always use the justice regulars but everyone uses them!

This deck performs very well in Solo in addition to multiplayer. In solo you can even add more attack like Stealth Strike instead of Yaw and Roll. Of course also sub out Flora and Fauna for Groot as I feel it’s required to have him in your deck, and he does great with your need to have someone cover you. For higher player counts simply take out Turn the Tide for more thwart.

Thanks for checking this out!

As a multiplayer setup, I would definitely pack 2-3 Skilled Investigator - one for each player.

I prefer Making an Entrance & Overwatch combo over Yaw and Roll even for flyers. It'll also offset your "Think Fast!". I'd also play a 3rd "Think Fast!" before the Sonic Rifle's as Rocket already can have "# restricted guns" issues. If Overwatch can get to duplicating thwarts of 4-6 (not to mention the 7-8Thw Starlord does) it is EXTREMELY OP for cost of self only!

One of these paired decks should be running Knowhere.

Never forget Rocket Raccoon can rip out and sell his own Cybernetic Skeleton for money...LOL. Technically a loss, but funny.

Ah Cybernetic Skeleton, in the top tier of hilarious upgrades up there with Logan’s bones Adamantium Skeleton.

Overwatch is an auto include in any higher player counts as it is absolutely bonkers for high thwarters.

In my play testing I found Sonic Rifle to put in more work than "Think Fast!", as you can play it, flip down and immediately chuck it for 2 cards to cycle if you really don’t need it, resulting in the same cost, or the same cost on a delay that you get to pick when you get it back. It also can show up on demand if you Salvage at the right time.

Restricted is Rocket’s biggest enemy though so understandable if you prefer the other. The combo with Making an Entrance sounds like a fun time.

Thanks for your thoughts on these!
