Spider-Man: No Way Home

Environment: Legacy

I have this deck tagged for Theme not because anything in the deck is especially thematic, but because I built it for a thematic "No Way Home" game I've set up for MC/DC '26.

"No Way Home"

Four Heroes:

  • Spider-Man Maguire (Venom's Nem Set: Enraged Symbiotes)
  • Spider-Man Garfield (Ghost-Spider's Nem Set: The Lizard, which is interesting because in Ghost-Spider's universe Peter Parker is The Lizard, not Doctor Connor)
  • Spider-Man Holland (Spider-Man's Nem Set: Vulture. I chose to play this version of Spider-Man because my last name is Holland LOL)
  • Doctor Strange

NOTE: For the four-player game I'll make the following changes:

Here's the Multiplayer version for anyone who wants to load it into DragnCards or TTS: https://marvelcdb.com/deck/view/1159918

Scenario:

  • Sinister Six (so we can fight multiple villains)

Allies

I should nearly always have a resource to stave off Grant Ward's betrayal!

Ironheart and Moon Girl are here for card draw.

Nick Fury, Sr. is fantastic for threat removal.

Yellow Jacket will hopefully find an Overwatch or Web-Shooter at the right time.

Events

Clear the Area is better in solo than multi, so for the multiplayer games these get swapped for Multitasking.

Crisis Averted removes a TON of threat from the main, and I'll pretty much always have the to ignore Crisis.

Whether I or someone else is in Alter-Ego, or an Advance or similar card is revealed, Foiled! will cancel the boost icons on the scheme activation.

For Justice! will almost always be kicked for 4 threat removal and is too good to swap out entirely for multi, so I just drop one of them for those games.

As mentioned above, Even the Odds and Multitasking will be in the deck for four-player games and the swaps I'll make result in a nearly identical cost curve, only adding one additional 2-cost card.

Lay the Trap

Lay the Trap will do LOADS of damage in four player games, but is still decent (and easier to defeat) in Solo.

Supports

Avengers Compound is mostly here to "store" Moon Girl if I draw her while I'm in Hero Form and don't want to flip down just to play her. I might also tuck Nick Fury, Sr. there if there's not a lot of threat on the board, and pull him out for his burst-removal.

With 3 resource generators and five double resources Avengers Mansion will come down pretty easily in most games.

Upgrades

Heroic Intuition is better in Solo IMO because other players can help a bit with threat removal in multi, so I swap this for an Even the Odds in those games.

Peter's a GENIUS in alter-ego, allowing him to play Ingenuity (and Moon Girl).

Overwatch is really good in multi, but I haven't played it much in solo.

I'd like to run 3 copies of Skilled Investigator so i can pass two out in multi, but I'm only running 1 here. I may end up playing that on someone else, but that'll a game-time decision!

Taskmaster

I recorded an Expert Taskmaster game with a slightly different version of this deck. It's uploaded as a "Members First" video until May 1st!

Really fun idea with swapping nemesis sets!
