It's interesting as your collection grows, to revisit some old decks and see how new cards would help improve said decks. To this end, I spotted a Quicksilver-Aggression deck - and I may re-do it at some point (it's a slow work day, so I probably will), however, when starting off, I was putting plenty of Grey cards in. As I've done a handful of Basic only decks on here, I thought "Well, in for a penny..." and carried on.
So what's the theme here? Readying. Lots of it. And keeping everyone's second favourite blue speedball as healthy as possible.
His starting hit points and REC are dire, so of course Endurance and Down Time are needed, (along with Supprt: Crew Quarters to absolutely make sure).
As all his own Events are Superpowers, Deft Focus is an absolute must-have. Since we are readying up lots, Adrenaline Rush seems a very good shout; especially if you have his native Accelerated Reflex, Hyper Perception and Reinforced Sinew out, making him a 3 ATK and 2 THW.
And finally, well, just because... Symbiote Suit. Now; is this wise? Probably not. But the temptation of a 3-3-3 hero with Adrenaline Rush making him a 4-3-3 on occasion, was just too great. I may regret this wholeheartedly and curse my exuberance!
As well as Deft Focus, let's throw in a Helicarrier and Quincarrier and with chosen resource cards, should be more than enough as this isn't an expensive deck.
A couple of First Aid will help keep him up and of course, my usual trick of Blade and 3 copies of Earth's Mightiest Heroes - readying three times for 1 cost. Marvellous.
Finished with Professor X to help when you need to drop down and Hope Summers as she can help farm a superpower card and is decent enough value otherwise. You could add in an Honorary Avenger for her if you wish.
So there it is, another basic b!tch deck and as it goes, this might be pretty decent.

Jul 11, 2025Thanks Yeah, I am the same with basic decks too..."but if I just put in this, or that, then, well, you know...!" Oooh, I'll have to try 'Pool with Quicksilver. Sounds fun!! |
I don't think Hope Summers needs Honorary Avenger, because she will already absorb that from Quicksilver. This deck looks like a lot of fun! I have a problem with basic decks, though, in that I often feel the temptation to add JUST ONE aspect card. Then another.
For Quicksilver it's the pull of 'Pool. Stick-To-Itiveness plus Friction Resistance is a free ready every turn and Healing Factor adds to survivability.
