Rogue's Touched card allows for many more targets for Sneak Attack than normal, provided that you can get the right trait. This deck focuses on Web Warriors and abusing the hell out of Web of Life and Destiny to get crazy card draw.
The phrase "leaves play" includes getting defeated by an enemy attack, getting defeated by consequential damage (see SP//dr), and getting directly discarded by a card effect. Cards that we're looking to abuse to get the draw 1 are:
First, mulligan for your resource generators.
- X-Gene getting this turn 1 is amazing as you'll never have to worry about the mutant trait. Remember that this is only for identity-specific events.
- The X-Jet (or Helicarrier if you have another player that needs the Jet more)
- Clarity of Purpose Attach to Rogue if you're fighting a non-overkill scenario. The plan is to defend with allies a lot. Otherwise, it might be best to cut this card as running it on an ally isn't great value, except maybe on Scarlet Spider.
- Deft Focus. For your superpowers.
Then, get a Web Warrior card under your control.
- If you playing with a Web Warrior player, you can just attach Touched to them to play Web of Life and Destiny for free. Otherwise, attach to a Web Warrior ally for the 0 cost.
- Build Support gets you Web of Life and Destiny in exchange for thwart. If you already have Web of Life out, you can target The Triskelion instead.
- Make the Call bypasses "only if you control a Web Warrior card" requirement as well as Spider-Man Peter Parker's resource requirement.
Finally get the Web Warrior train going by pumping the board with allies
- Remember to always keep one ally available for Touched, for chump blocking, or in case of encounter cards that force you to discard a Support. Having allies is also great for Band Together.
- A great ally to keep in rotation is SP//dr. Remember to use excess consequential damage (using her to thwart when she's on 1 HP) to add her back to your hand.
- Across the Spider-Verse you can exhaust Web of Life and Destiny, you don't have to exhaust an ally or identity. This bypasses card play requirements, as does Make the Call.
- Rapid Response, Go Down Swinging, and Sneak Attack works great for Web Warrior allies with Interrupt effects for leaving play: Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider. Remember though that Rapid Response does not work for Otto Octavius Spider-Man.
- Otto Octavius Spider-Man's only targets are Clarity of Purpose, Deft Focus, and X-Gene.
- Superpower Adaptation can be used to fish for Across the Spider-Verse, or if you end up getting Gambit on the board then any of your identity-specific superpower events.
If you're worried about burning the encounter deck too fast with Hobie, swap him for Plan B.
Other cards to cut if you want closer to 40 cards
And I think that's everything I wanted to...Touch on. If you enjoy the deck, leave a like and favorite to save it!
Edit: I forgot Touched isn't supposed to be part of the deck size limit. So there's actually space for one more card.

Oct 03, 2024Touched doesnt give you the targets traits unless you use energy transfer |
Oct 03, 2024Touched isn't what gives you the traits, but Rogue's Action on her hero form does. |
Oct 03, 2024Oh, ok then, I suppose it specifies it in energy transfer so you can touch someone and then use that on someone else to gain multiple peoples traits? |
Cool list and writeup! Sneak attack looks nice here. I'm curious how you managed to format your writeup.
