Mel from Rob's Gaming Table provided a casual player's playthrough of this deck in their Mad Titan's Shadow Campaign!

"First Blood: Part II" (Revised):
- Subtract: Jarnbjorn
- Add: Ready to Rumble
Overview:
-
This deck puts out massive amounts of cost-effective damage while capitalizing off of Spectrum's versatility to manage everything else. Once set up you'll easily defeat the villain in one turn -- I've beaten scenarios only a few turns in.
-
You'll utilize Energy Duplication to get at will with Gamma, as well as Martial Prowess, Quincarrier, The Power of Aggression, and x14 & x8.
-
All of those will allow you to play Drop Kick, Surprise Attack, Thor, Hulk, Blade, and damage for Jarnbjorn.
-
I've tested this deck on Expert/Heroic and won with relative ease on most scenarios. Of course Heroic is more challenging, it always is, but I've breezed through Expert playtesting.
Strategy:
Cost-Effective Damage
-
You're able to shell out massive amounts of damage with all of the cards that help you reduce cost like Deft Focus, Martial Prowess, and Team-Building Exercise.
-
That means: Gamma Blast for 1, Surprise Attack for 0, Dive Bomb for 2.
Set-Up
-
Deft Focus works with just about every one of Spectrum's cards including Energy Duplication, Gamma Blast, and Photon Speed. Getting this in your starting hand is huge, which will allow you to play Energy Duplications for 1 to get your setup even faster.
-
Once you're set up you're using Team-Building Exercise and Avengers Tower to play allies for cheap. Deft Focus to play your Superpower Events. Gamma Blast, Surprise Attack, Dive Bomb, and Jarnbjorn for massive cheap damage.
Card Combos
-
Deft Focus + Energy Duplication / Gamma / Photon Speed
-
Speed of Light / Blue Marvel + Surprise Attack / Martial Prowess
-
Drop Kick + Martial Prowess / Energy Duplications
-
Team-Building Exercise + Dive Bomb / Avengers Mansion / Avengers Tower & Avenger Allies
-
Quincarrier for a whenever you need it.
-
Power-up your allies like Thor, Valkyrie, & Wasp, who can use Energy Duplication to increase their designated resource.
-
Hulk & Blade benefit from all the . All allies are Avengers for Team-Building Exercise & Avengers Tower.
Mulligan
- Deft Focus, Energy Duplications, Resources, set-up cards and lower-cost ally for chump block and a THW/ATK. Drop Kick is also fairly easy to get the stun/draw with so many .
Hope you have as much fun with this deck as I do! My latest decks:

Oct 19, 2021Love this deck! Most of the time I'm not a fan of Aggression because it doesn't always add enough to the table, but this deck is awesome, well done. |

Nov 12, 2021I posted a question over in your Adam Warlock tutor deck, but since that thread became bizarrely contentious I think it might get lost in this shuffle so I'll ask it here too. Do you think you Adam Warlock deck and this deck would make a good multiplayer pair? Or did you build both of them primarily for solo? I was hoping to run both new heroes through a few scenarios together. |

Nov 30, 2021Pretty sure Spectrum doesn't have aerial so you won't be able to play dive bomb. |

Dec 01, 2021Hi I'm playing MTS campaign in Expert/Expert and for now I've defeated the first 2 scenarios quite easy: finishing Ebony Maw full life without even cycling my deck and finishing Defend the Tower at 8 hp without the tower being destroyed, so nice! I also played Expert Hood and lost by threat at the very last turn when I switched to AE (main scheme wast at 0/10) and a series of surges made me lose... but I think I had it under control and I had some bad luck, so yeah, the deck worked. By the way, I thought you misspelled Monica's surname in the title... but no, I see what you did here hahaha xD Good job!! |
Dec 07, 2021Would this deck be able to thwart a bit if paired with your War Machine Deck in a two player game? |
Dec 07, 2021The Link above on Youtube seems to be wrong, hes talking about your Adam Warlock-Deck there. |
Dec 08, 2021Tried this Deck yesterday against The Hood standard... No chance at all. I dont know if Im just too stupid to play Spectrum, but I had the problem that I was in the wrong form and couldnt switch, all the time! Enemy just outschemed me pretty quickly, also he did lots of damage against me (1 def isnt much)... dont know what Im doing wrong. |
Jan 19, 2022Finished the mad’s titan shadow with this deck on standard and it was a blast to Play! |
Jan 29, 2022What can i use besides Deft Focus? I don't have that pack |
Mar 09, 2022Played this deck vs Expert Zola and it was a nail biter. Last turn of the game, I am at 1hp in Gamma Form after Zola worked my ass, stunned AND confused. Encounter card and Main Scheme put 2 minions on my ass and & Zola at 11 hp with threat on main scheme at 6 and 2 test counters. so my hand is 2x Surprise Attack, 2 other cards that don't matter, and one Dive Bomb that is gonna save my bacon. and finally Avengers Mansion and Deft Focus in play. Exhaust AM to draw one more card, which is <a href="marvelcdb.com class="card card-tip " data-toggle="modal" data-remote="false" data-target="#cardModal" data-code="21010" data-hasqtip="52">Speed of Light , HALLEUJAH! so I exhaust to attack to get rid of the stun. Then I plays Speed of Light to change form, which counts as a trigger to play Suprise Attack, discard the other one to pay for it so i get all 4 damage, bringing Zola to 7. Then dump the rest of my hand and Deft Focus to Divebomb Zola for the win. Good job friend That was fun. |

Mar 30, 2022This deck has some interesting decisions (what form to start the turn in plus the cards in hand and what form you want to end in). I like it a lot. |

Jun 06, 2022Thank you for this deck. I wonder about Technique Éprouvé here ? Feel like very welcome :). I would put it in place of one Coup de Pied Tombé. |
Dec 22, 2022Tryin to beat Hela in Mad Titan Shadow campaign but lost with her 5 times in row... |
the master is back! and so great to see the appreciation of Dive Bomb, such a great combo with Team-Building Exercise
i think i agree with a lot of your choices. Deft Focus is a must-have. Ready to Rumble is great but probably not necessary, but Surprise Attack is ace.
really close to what i've been testing lately. can't wait to try out your version!
