Spider-people recursion is already a strong keystone to hold a deck up, and Spider-Ham is filthy rich with card draw and resources. I had a great time playing this deck against a variety of Villains, and in true Leadership fashion, it can deal with pretty much anything. There are two parts to making this deck sing.

Spider-Ham Engine

  • two copies of Team-Building Exercise will help you pay for Cartoon and Web-Warrior
  • Clarity of Purpose generates a wild resource, but also does 1 damage to Spider-Ham (giving him a Toon counter)
  • Love engaging 1-attack minions, and often don't deal with them unless they have Guard/Patrol. Each tick of damage makes you richer.
  • Endurance and Down Time make trips to alter-ego very profitable, netting lots of health that can be turned into resources once you're back in hero form
  • Built in confuse with Swinging Web Pig and 3-thwart and a ready with Organic Webbing make threat not too "threatening"
  • Using Noble Sacrifice can get Spider-Ham a little healing and a tough, so he can take the Villain's attack to the face, leaving him free to take all the minion damage.
  • The rich get richer with Avengers Mansion and Helicarrier, but save some toon counters for the next part

Web-Heads Swing Out and In

  • Web of Life and Destiny is free because Spider-Ham is a Web-Warrior. It's not uncommon to draw 4-6 cards per turn from this.
  • Start your turn with Peter having one damage and Miguel having one damage.
  • Use Miguel to kick another web-warrior back to your hand (ideally Hobie) and reap the rewards.
  • Use Peter to Miguel, then use Miguel again to kick Miguel back to your hand
  • Re-play Miguel for a discount, then use him to put Peter back in your hand.
  • Re-play Peter (using Spider-hams plentiful wild resources), and re-play Hobie with a discount.
  • Use Peter and Hobie again, and ready a web-warrior of your choice (Spider-ham? or Miguel again if your flush with cash and want to keep the train rolling).
  • If you have Across the Spider-Verse in hand, you can even allow one of these allies to go to the discard pile, then exhaust Web of Life and Destiny to immediately get them back.
  • The fourth ally slot granted by The Triskelion is for the ally you can use Noble Sacrifice on to heal Spider-ham and get a tough card. This combos well with Petulant Pig.

I don't know of anyone else with so consistent access to wild riches to recur Peter so easily. This is a lot of fun. It's also chaos.

Very clever use of recursion to the hand with Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Man (Hobie), and Spider-Man (Peter Parker). I really like the way the deck is meant to keep low-ATK minions in play, while utilizing Noble Sacrifice to keep the Villain's attacks at bay so that you build up a load of Toon counters! Awesomely thought out all around for the entire deck!

This looks like a powerhouse! And I love the title. Is it referencing Guns Akimbo?

@AbisMal yeah! I realized just now (some three years after his release) that low-attack minions are as good as having multiple copies of Clarity of Purpose. Retaliate will hut your allies if they attack, but Spider-Ham loves retaliate on the Villain or minions... the Rich get Richer.

@Astrodar starring Harry Potter I mean Daniel Radcliffe, chaos and comedy with a heaping helping of violence! I felt the title matched how this deck plays pretty well!

Power of Leadership seems kinda useless here - only benefits 1 card (2099). Ditching them gives you space for Warrior of the Great Web and another Noble Sacrifice.

@MiasmaticI know it might seem that way (and you're surely free to ditch it if you want), but I replay Miguel O'hara every turn. Power of Leadership is never not a double.

That aside, Warrior of the Great Web is a great include here to boost Spider-Ham's attack. Maybe a 41st card?
