Guess who's back? Back again. Basic's back. Tell a friend.
Anyway, enough of that nonsense. Here's another grey deck for you delectation. Hopefully.
Firstly, I'm gobsmacked Drax is a 1 ATK as standard. The wuss. Yes yes, I know, his mechanic, yada yada. Just saying.
Well, there's two schools of thought with how to handle Drax.
-
Build a deck where you don't use your basic attack, but boost his ATK stat as much as you can - that'll be Aggression then. Obviously.
-
Ready him as much as you can.
I'm opting for number 2 here.
Upgrades
Not much to say here other than, fingers crossed, you get both his knives out early. Let's throw an Endurance to buff him up a little bit, Unshakable so we're not troubled so much by confuses and stuns and Ready to Rumble for another ready when we flip up.
Supports
Well, Front Organization is a new card with Agents of Shield, but for 1 cost, seems well worth it to me. I prefer Crew Quarters to Down Time, Helicarrier to reduce on-going costs - especially given paltry 4 hand-size in Hero - and C.I.T.T. for readying versatility.
Events
3 x Assess the Situation seems a must, 2 x First Aid to keep you up and 3 x Limitless Stamina for readies. With his own events, I'd say that's all you need.
Allies
So where is Drax a little thin? Thwarting. Now, Intimidation is all well and good but 1 for 2 threat removal isn't great. Professor X will help hugely here and if you don't need to clear minions, Rocket Raccoon can help too.
I'd like a little more thwarting in this deck and may re-do it at some point, but as a starter for 10, there should be enough attacking, especially with Knife Leap to get you home fairly quickly.
