This build plays into Black Widow's use of PREPERATION cards. Every time you use a PREPERATION card Black Widow deals a damage to an enemy. Her Synth-Suit both allows her to ready after using a preparation card and provide +1 DEF. If Black Widow defends a villain attack and uses a PREPERATION card to augment her high DEF she would deal a damage AND ready.
Black Widow has a high Def of 2, we can up that to 4 with the addition of Armored Vest and her Synth-Suit. Once she gets up an Energy Barrier and Defensive Stance she will basically stop taking any damage at all from Villain attacks. Then Unflappable allows you to draw a card. It feels really good to have the villain attack for 8 and not take any damage, ready your hero, draw a card, and do 2-3 damage back to the bad guys.
So on the villain phase: Black Widow defends the villain attack. Use her Def of 4 and combination of preparation cards Attacrobatics,Defensive Stance along with Energy Barrier to prevent any damage. Then Unflappable will allow her to draw a card. If you used Defensive Stance to stop the damage Synth-Suit will allow you to ready Black Widow and, because you used a preparation card Black Widow does one damage to a target. Then because she is in the ready position she can defend herself from an engaged minion or defend a teammate as well. Then comes the facedown encounter cards: You can prevent boosts with Target Acquired and treacheries with Grappling Hook. Got a minion? Widow's Bite will deal 2 damage. If a surge is triggered Espionage can let you draw two cards. Black Widow also does 1 damage for each and every one of these preparation cards that you use. Also if you didn't get readied during the villain's attack use Synth-Suit now to ready Black Widow. Replace any preparation cards used during the villain phase from your hand cheaper using her Black Widow's Gauntlets. Use Second Wind for big heals and Med Team for small heals. If Winter Soldier shows up late enough for you to have 4 preparation cards down he is free! Use stuns and confuses as needed to heal/flex down.
This is an updated deck after a few plays. I added a second Unflappable and a second Armored Vest. These two cards really help the build shine so adding more will help get them out faster. I found I never played Nova so I removed him. I've had a lot of fun playing this build. I hope you like this build. I think it has a bunch of potential. I've done both Rhino and Klaw on expert with this build. It performs well both solo and multiplayer. Thwart is a bit of a weak point, I find I use Winter Soldier and Mockingbird a bunch for their Thwart. I'll update it after more play throughs. If you have bought the Hulk pack I would defiantly add Electrostatic Armor in the place of The Night Nurse.
So played this against expert Ultron with Iron Man/Leadership. She again played great and took very little damage. I am still impressed with how well this deck works. I didn't get a status card so Night Nurse wasn't needed. I kept track of how much extra damage I would have done if it was Electrostatic Armor. Surprisingly it was only a total of 9 damage over several turns. I was kind of surprised it wasn't better but, it did come out late.
