Did you know that some wasps can recognize one another through their unique facial patterns? If nothing else, you got a fun wasp fact!
Wasp and Upside the Head, an iconic duo. Don’t believe me? Look at Pinpoint Strike. What’s Wasp doing? Hitting someone…Upside the Head. Purely coincidence, you say? Well then...look at Scott's ally, Wasp! Look at what she's doing!

Wasp eluded me for a while, not knowing quite how to play her. I was also spending a lot more time in Giant than I felt comfortable doing so in a thematic sense. While you will go big before going home to alter ego often in this deck, you’ll be stinging in Tiny form more often than not.
Wasp has one of the best Alter Ego abilities in the game, so getting her safely to alter ego is important. Upside the Head does just that! Since you can spread your attack damage around in Giant, UtH becomes a super convenient card to play, allowing you focus down a minion and still confuse the villain, or never see Rapid Growth go to waste.
The synergy doesn’t stop there…hate having Upside the Head while an enemy is tough? Wasp gets piercing on her basic attacks in Tiny, allowing you to always damage the villain and securing the Confuse.
Best of all? UtH is…you guessed it…a resource…meaning confuse locking with just 3 cards is very simple. Heck, confuse and stun locking is possible late game if you can sequence it correctly in solo.
Since basic attacks are what you are shooting for, Nadia will need events to help with thwarting. Luckily, justice is jammed packed with resource events, which keep you covering the whole table.
Monica Chang is so wonderfully strong with Nadia, as demonstrated first by teamcanadahockey2002 that she and her Surveillance Team makes a return. Shuffling her and another one of your amazing allies will be common for at least 2 of Alter Ego shuffle ins. Ideally, you will shuffle in an ally and Upside the Head when you flip down, and then another ally and possibly another UtH when you flip back up. Of course, you have a litany of options for things to shuffle in for whatever the situation calls for.
Pro-Gamer turn
- Starting in Tiny, basic attack into Rapid Growth, do at least 1 damage to the villain, even better if you knock out a minion during this
- Upside the Head to the Villain
- Lay Down the Law and knock out 4 threat from a scheme
- Flip down and set it up again or whatever turn you want for a mimimum total of 3 damage, 3 threat (probably 4 threat), and a confuse/stun
Bonus points if Pym Particles either draws you another card to possibly Turn the Tide or to heal 2 damage
Stalwart
Upside the Head and Float Like a Butterfly don't do enough to stick around, sadly. Crisis Averted and Overwatch would be the sub ins I'd recommend to still let you flip down while managing the main scheme.
Multiplayer
This deck is built as an all rounder, but higher multiplayer counts would see Turn the Tide subbed out for Crisis Averted. Add in Float Like a Butterfly and your Aggression or Leadership teammate will love you if you give them it. Monica Chang and Surveillance Team may be too slow in 3+ games to get going, so Overwatch and Sense of Justice might be good changes as well.
Thanks for checking this out!

Jan 10, 2024Thanks for trying it out |
Jan 10, 2024I never really got it going, the Steady location, and the card loss kept me from seeing the deck at its full potential. Still was a fun game thanks for the deck design. |
Jan 10, 2024RNG really seemed to counterpick this build! But with some smart plays from you all and Wasp being one of the most clutch heroes in the game it made a really exciting game. Can't wait to see your next game! |
Jan 10, 2024Looks fun. I forgot about Wasp. I'll have to try it out. |
Jan 10, 2024Try her out and see what you think |
Jan 12, 2024She’s definitely one that I haven’t played as much as I should but after playing this deck against Ultron and Sandman today, I can say it’s a really good one! |
Jan 12, 2024Glad to hear it worked out for you |
Jan 23, 2024with so much confuse support, any thought for Float Like a Butterfly? |
Feb 21, 2024I really like Float Like a Butterfly I most likely am too aggressive swapping down so I'd often miss out on the damage. It's really solid though! |
Played this on stream and it got beat up by the Brotherhood, but it has potential. Check out the game. www.twitch.tv
