I recently wanted to build a deck and take it through all scenarios... I have a tendency to build a deck, play 4-5 scenarios and move on and as a result, I playtest decks more than I play them!
And so, I wanted to build a deck to tackle it all, solo. That' s still unfinished (but I will!). Still, so far this deck, simple as it is, has won every encounter I put it against hands down, it may just be the One Deck to Win Them All!
I noticed other players offering lists for Christmas and I thought, why not? Want a deck that prooved itself, sit and play? Here's one.
For those curious, it beat expert scenarios (with recommended modules):
-
Rhino
-
Klaw
-
Ultron
-
Risky Business
-
Mutagen Formula
-
Wrecking Crew
-
The Hood
-
Kang
-
Mad Titan's shadow campaign
My next undertaking will be Sinister Motives / Mutant Genesis. Keeping GMW for last LOL.
Playing the deck
Well, I think it's pretty obvious, but play Sense of Justice to pay for your Clear the Area and Multitasking. Those, plus the allies you put in play, make up nicely for Spidey's lack of THW.
Don't be afraid to block, Spidey can take a lot of hits and your basic 2 atk isn't wht you want to take down the villain. Holding on to Backflip to avoid serious blows or Enhanced Spider-Sense to negate encounters is still a sound move.
Professor X or Sonic Rifle the villain for a confuse when you need to revert to AE and let Aunt May heal you.
That's also a good moment to use your "scientist" and GENIUS features to play Ingenuity / Moon Girl. Put the main scheme Under Surveillance.
Put as many upgrades / supports in play as possible, thining your deck. And then... Swinging Web Kicks are coming more frequently into your hand, kick the villain down!
Fun thing, Spidey can also negate a stalwart villain's activation with Webbed Up (although it is costly, it's sometimes nice to just stop Thanos like no one else can!)
Have fun everyone and Merry Christmas!
