This deck is a slower control build that uses Black Widow's defensive kit to give us the time needed to play Honed Technique and start Uppercutting the villain.

Aggression Widow is actually pretty impressive. We have a strong minion control game with our preparations, and also a strong threat reduction kit that not only allows us to safely go back to AE but also has synergies with our preparations.

Card Discussion

Honed Technique: Let's be honest, this card is really fun to build around. It turns ours mediocre Uppercut into Swinging Web Kicks. Aside from the steep resource prerequisite, being yet another three-costed card on Black Widow can make some early game pretty awkward.

No Quarter: This is my new Relentless Assault! The resource matching might be a bit of a headache, especially when we have Honed Technique out, but it's worth it.

Looking for Trouble: Looking for Trouble is a powerful way to remove threat in an aspect that has a lot of trouble doing so. Sometimes, it doesn't even have a cost as the minion brought up is DOA. Engaging a minion can also be extremely beneficial, as we can trigger our preparations, Synth-Suit, and fuel Hall of Heroes.

Angela: Same as Looking for trouble but instead of the threat reduction we get a cheap ally. The more controlled aspect of her cost can be more friendly than Looking for Trouble.

Hall of Heroes: This is an amazing card with all the minion fetching that we have and it plays extremely well with Covert Ops.

Resourceful: This card fits our curve pretty nicely, it's a wild resource to discard and, if we've got the resources lying around, we can even play it to use on a later turn.

Winter Soldier: solid all-around ally that can be played for cheap if we have a couple of preparations out. The wild resource is also pretty nice.

Covert Ops: This card is absolutely amazing. The threat reduction, together with the confusion, gives us the time needed to switch to AE without getting punished. The fact that we don't even need to be on Hero side to play means that we can dig for it with either Halls of Heroes or our Mission Prep.

Dance of Death: Dance of death is an efficient damage-dealing event, hardly any damage goes to waste.

Safe House #29: Being able to get back preparations from the discard means that we get extra resources and more options to play around with, especially when we have both our Black Widow's Gauntlets out.

Black Widow's Gauntlet: They are a crucial part of Black Widow's arsenal. When we got them out, playing a preparation plus another card becomes way more feasible(which is an important mark).

Synth-Suit: This is the key card to unlock Black Widow's full potential. One of our biggest weaknesses is our subpar defense, with Synth-Suit out we get the much-needed extra defense, plus the readying effect which allows us to start pulling ahead.

Attacrobatics: Great defensive tool that provides some chip damage to the villain.

Grappling Hook: The most expensive of our preparations and the effect is worth it. This is a bit harder to play multiple offs, but it's not hard to get to a point where we can keep getting them back with Safe house #29

Widow's Bite/ Lie in Wait: Our minion control preparations. There are many targets that simply die when hit for 3/4 and sometimes we can even weaken them for a better No Quarter.

Deck Weakness

We have three main challenges that complement each other: resource-intensive start, reliance on a few one-offs, and weak early defense.

With so many three-costed cards, we can have a few awkward early draws. It starts getting better when we play a few of our resource generation cards.

Our deck wants to have Honed Technique out, but it NEEDS Synth-Suit. Being reliant on singleton cards to operate means that there'll be times when we simply won't find them in time or are forced to use them as resources.

With 9 HP and 2 defense, Black Widow can be quite vulnerable to high boost icons, and double activations. Even without them, if we don't have Synth-Suit out we're losing Thwarts, so the threat is getting higher and our health is also getting chipped.

Chopping Block

Throg: Throg is a defensive ally that buys us up to two turns. Being conditional and having a "wrong" resource type makes it a bit of an underperforming card.

Mockingbird: Another defensive ally, Mockingbird stuns the villain and thwarts for two before defending. However, it's another three-cost card and it's not in Aggression.
