One of the downsides of Push Ahead / Go All Out is that they require you to exhaust your hero. Fortunately, Pietro has very little trouble readying. On his hero card, he looks like a bad candidate given his low statline, and his three upgrades only bring him up to where some other heroes start the game, BUT his hero kit comes with two copies of Maximum Velocity, which adds 6 thwart or damage to whichever event you're throwing down, and Leadership has a number of other cards that add 2 (Lead from the Front) or 3 (Moxie, Morale Boost). We've also got Specialized Training to give him another ongoing +1 to his total (and a card draw to your choice of basic).
Once set up, we can reliably play these blue events for at least 7 damage or 7 thwart at a time, but usually it's more like 10 or 13 or even more. If you get multiple stat-boosters, and can find enough resources to pay for them all (your Specialist upgrade, Avengers Mansion, Quincarrier, Deft Focus, and Friction Resistance are all here to help), the ceiling is high.
How high? About the craziest I can imagine without help (but with a set-up board and unbelievably lucky draws) would be: Start in Alter-Ego with six cards; Mansion to a hand of seven. Play both Moxies on the flip to hero. Friction Resistance + Deft Focus pays for Maximum Velocity. In whatever order makes sense, drop a couple Morale Boosts, and use ATK or THW that your specialist upgrade corresponds to, drawing you another card and readying Friction Resistance as well as Pietro. Use it and Quincarrier to pay for a Go All Out that now deals 25 damage. That's without getting into the math of double-resources.
Mulligan priorities: Friction Resistance, Quincarrier, Avengers Mansion. Get your economy going so you can lay down those +1 upgrades as they come up. Try not to throw any of them away on your first pass through the deck. As you go, manage the game state with your various hero events and allies. Then, once you've got a decent starting point of a statline, you can start doing the stat-boost + Push Ahead / Go All Out trick.
Changes to consider: I made this as 42 cards, so it'll be leaner and meaner if you drop two. I'd consider Lead from the Front since it's 2 cost, and maybe an ally or two. If you're making substitutions, try to keep Energy and Mental balanced for the event requirements.
This isn't a world-beating deck, but I've had fun with it. It feels so good to pull off a big turn, and he's solid on the other turns too. Hope you like it!
