Circuit Breaker

nebula

This deck is designed to have Nebula consistently confuse enemies to not only allow her to flip down to alter-ego (where he abilities and cards can shine), but to also make use of the confuse status to deal more damage and gain card draw.

Flawless Technique

Nebula has a fun mechanic in that her Technique upgrades give her boosts for a phase, however the following player phase, they are discarded - but not before one final 'Special' ability.

Although the Techniques are solid, they are a little challenging when trying to build a deck to incorporate their use. What I've done for this deck is to play into Nebula flipping down. Not only are you then able to trigger her alter-ego ability, but one of her valuable cards, Combat Ready can also be used, to ensure you build up Nebula's Technique upgrades (or trigger one of them). Added to this, by flipping down, you can potentially 'save' the Technique upgrades for the next player phase, and not discard them. This leads to building up a large number of Technique upgrades for a huge burst of effects in the FOLLOWING player phase! :P

Confused Yet...?

Adding cards to confuse the villain, plays into the strategy to flip down often, and so "Think Fast!" and Sonic Rifle are in the kit.

I've chosen not to include Upside the Head as you are required to make a basic attack. I like to keep Nebula free to do any basic action and feel that both "Think Fast!" and Sonic Rifle are sufficient.

Benefitting from the Confusion

There are a few cards here that can benefit from having a confused enemy too :

Cypher is the only non-Guardian, and he can draw you a card if he attacks a confused enemy;

Swift Retribution (admittedly the card I used to base this deck around) allows Nebula to deal 4 damage with hopefully no scheming (or at least schemeing that can still be handled without any problem). To cover any potential threat blowing out, I've included For Justice! and Multitasking to deal with threat - though remember Cutthroat Ambition can also help keep the threat down too.

Float Like a Butterfly is an upgrade that deals one extra damage to a confused enemy. I've deliberately included a good number of Justice allies that can also dish out decent attack...so the potential is there for a huge burst of damage with Float Like a Butterfly and a confused enemy.

Guardians of the Galaxy, Unite!

With the exception of Cypher, all the other allies are Guardians and as mentioned, most can deal some decent damage.

Gamora is a solid signature ally and she can also trigger a Technique upgrade;

Groot - No explanation here!

Jack Flag is an interesting ally as he has great thwart, but you can also prolong him by alternating between thwarting and using his Hero action to deal 2 damage. Handy if Float Like a Butterfly is in play;

Quasar is solid and helps with threat..possibly helping to trigger Skilled Investigator;

Rocket Raccoon is an amazing ally - can thwart well, but if a minoin is out, he can pretty much deal with them himself...potentially overkilling too to potentially nab the villain;

Wraith has a good ability, but also at 3ATK, consider using him with Float Like a Butterfly

The Supports

Finally, the supports inlcuded are Crew Quarters and Knowhere.

Crew Quarters is added to make up for the damage dealt by "Think Fast!". Also with Nebula at 9hp, having an additional way to heal is always good;

And Knowhere allows you to play a fourth ally to help the hero, as well as gain card draw.
