Core Strategy Use Groot's defense to gain Growth Counters. Use counters for effects and a huge Root Stomp. Recycle cheap allies like Maria Hill & Martinex with Rapid Response for endless value.
Key Cards & Interactions Root Stomp: "Make the following attacks:"
First attack (base damage).
Second attack: Remove any # of growth counters for +1 damage each.
Rapid Response (The Engine):
After a cheap ally (cost 2 or less) is defeated, put them back into play.
This triggers their "enters play" ability again (e.g., Maria Hill draws a card, Mockingbird stuns the enemy).
"I am Groot": Removing a growth counter is the cost to get an effect.
"We Are Groot": Use to protect an ally with a Rapid Response attached from indirect damage.
Key Allies (For Rapid Response Loop)
Maria Hill : Draw 1 card when she enters play.
Hawkeye : 4 arrow counters
Mockingbird : stuns an enemy when she enters play.
Remember: "Put into play" (from Rapid Response) does not cost resources and triggers "enters play" effects.

Helicarrier & The Power of Leadership: Provide ongoing resource discount/ generation.

""Welcome Aboard"": Cheat an ally into play for -2 resources, bypassing their cost.
Moxie & Band Together: Help pay for Groot's expensive events like his big Root Stomp and also helps readying Groot + giving him better stats (1 phase)
