I've always been a fan of the Marvel Two-in-One comic series featuring The Thing and a different hero team-up each issue. I also like the concept of the Team-Up cards in Marvel Champions. Wolverine is one of three heroes currently in the game that can play two different Team-Up cards: Fastball Special and Unlikely Duo, hence the deck name "Marvel Three-in-One".
This deck is easy to pilot -- A combination of Wolverine's six hero kit attack events plus 3x Clobber, Fastball Special, and Unlikely Duo, activate Fluid Motion to boost Wolverine's basic attack. Adamantium Skeleton, Combat Training, Skilled Strike, and Combat Specialist from Specialized Training further boost the attack. Aggressive Energy provides an additional kicker to the attack events.
Wolverine's Claws, The X-Jet, Martial Prowess, and X-Gene provide the resource economy to play two attack events in a single player phase to activate both copies of Fluid Motion. Berserker Frenzy, Blood Rage, Combat Specialist, and Hall of Heroes provide a good amount of additional card draw to further fuel the engine.
Colossus and Jubilee are required in order to play Fastball Special and Unlikely Duo. Petey also acts as a buffer to preserve Wolverine's hit points for use with Wolverine's Claws.
Professor X can confuse the villain to enable a safe trip to alter-ego form to activate Hall of Heroes, Logan's Cabin, and/or recover hit points. Alternatively, Chuck can provide an additional ready to a berserk Wolverine.
Shadowcat is a bit of a thematic inclusion ("Days of Future Past" -- the comic, not the movie...), but does provide some utility to mitigate stubborn side schemes. Sunfire is here to deal with troublesome villain or minion attachments. Depending upon the villain and modular sets, these two cards may be replaced or removed to trim the deck a bit.
A fun and thematic combination is a teammate playing the Colossus hero. You can drop the Colossus and Shadowcat allies from this deck, and they can include their own copies of Fastball Special and Shadow and Steel for quadruple Team-Up cards! Here's an example deck that would pair well with a minimum of editing.
This is great! I love the thematic tie and the comic cover, and working on having two teamup cards is great!
