One of the things I've been trying to exploit is Worthington Industries. There aren't a ton of ways in the game that allow you get cards back into your deck, so it's ability to put an Aerial card back into your deck is a pretty fun card to build around.

Now Angel is so incredibly strong that you probably just want to keep cycling Adaptive Plumage or Metamorphosis... and when you play this deck, you probably should do that. However, this deck aims to exploit one other Aerial card that you can not only recycle, but also "Call" for, in Captain Marvel.

The awesome thing about this combo then is that on turns that you have Call for Aid in your hand, you can then throw Captain Marvel back in, and mill until you find her. Or, you can just throw her back every turn and then just draw into her. Either way, once she is in our hand --> we have three main options:

Option 1: Pay the full cost for Captain Marvel, likely needing to use an extra resource from Enhanced Reflexes unless we also have Energy or The Power of Flight in hand. This is probably the least effective option, as she's really expensive, and the whole point of this deck is to find some ways to play her for a much larger discount...

Option 2: Play Captain Marvel with Sneak Attack as you both have the Aerial trait. For a greatly reduced price, now we get the huge benefit of getting to trigger the enter play ability, which could add up to as much as a total of ATK 6 and a stun for 3 ER. That's cheaper than Heroic Strike! Even better, if we can also combo this with You Got This, you can get even more value out of Captain Marvel before she leaves play with an extra ATK3/THW2 plus a ready.

Option 3: Use a fully loaded up Quinjet to play her for FREEEEEEEEE!

Wait, Quinjet??? Yup, that's the blue support card you have stored in your binder or box that you haven't used in three years. Nope, its not the Quincarrier... we are indeed going to use Quinjet. I promise, it works incredibly well in this deck! This way she'll stay around for the entire round and you can use her again for a THW 2 or a block, or even another chance to use "You Got This!" on a subsequent turn. If you can drop one of these for 2 resources earlier in the game, later on, it will pay off for an on-demand entry of Captain Marvel and her awesome enters play trigger!

Speaking of which, we should discuss that ability - 3 damage to an enemy if you discard a single energy resource, and a stun if you can discard a second. Therefore, this deck is loaded up with energy resources, with the exceptions of Call for Aid and Sneak Attack. As much as I want to make the response even more likely to trigger, those two cards are just too good for being able to play Carol on demand. As it is, you still have 22 cards with energy resources, so over half your deck will trigger this response.

What's awesome about this is that many of our other key cards come with an energy resource, like the Quinjet and The Power of Flight. With all this energy in the deck, Sunspot is a great addition to the team, with the ability to use those energy resources for damage himself, plus he is another target for The Power of Flight and Worthington Industries.

Since you're going to be discarding cards with Call for Aid and Captain Marvel, White Fox is also an auto-include. I've played around with Digging Deep, and it's a fine add, but it does lower your energy resource ratio. I think its still very effective to remove some of the Enhanced Reflexes and/or Ready to Rumble options for Digging Deep, but I personally prefer the better odds on Captain Marvel's response to try and Stun the villain. Against steady/stalwart villains, I'd put Digging Deep back in though.

Using Captain Marvel with Angel seems that hasn't been explored much when I look up decks with that combination (only 7 as of the publishing of this deck). I hope this is an interesting combo that you haven't considered before and will want to try out! Truth be told, Angel is so strong that even if recurring Captain Marvel isn't a huge part of your gameplay, you can easily pivot to just playing Angel's powerful events again.

Until next time Champions...

I love the inclusion of Cpt Marvel, I know she's expensive but she's a really fun ally to play. I love the methods of recursion. Something must be in the air I have an Iron Man energy focused deck that I've been working on. This looks great!

@Castlefrank47 She's so expensive. At full price and hitting all the kickers She's something like 6 ER for 9 ATK and a stun. I just don't think she's normally worth playing and building a deck around.

But with Sneak Attack and Quinjet, now it's actually a ton of good value. I love Quinjet personally. That card doesn't get much love.

@teamcanadahockey2002 I agree, she is extremely expensive but in an aerial deck like this or even an avengers deck running tbe, sneak Attack, etc. she can be really useful. I like making niche allies work

ill be honest I haven't done much with quinjet but I'm intrigued to try this one out.

Dude, I love this concept and am definitely going to try this deck out for my next game! I've been trying to think of a new angle for an Angel deck and I think you found it for me!
