Three gimmicks in one deck...but they all work together!

/1. Warpath+Sliding Shot

Leadership Star-Lord is great and all, but what if you had a second Sliding Shot in your hand and lacked the resources to play it? Protection is the answer. Since the encounter cards you accrued during the Player phase will not yet be revealed when the Villain first activates, Warpath can let you play that lingering Sliding Shot (or Gutsy Move) with your renewed hand of resources. Pile up encounter cards with Daring Escape and IPAC and blast away.

/2. Repurpose Stuff

Repurpose is good when you have multiple ways to ready your Hero. Readying is made even better when you can boost your Hero's stats in other ways. Star-Lord has a 0-cost ready in Daring Escape and is able to play some of the other premier ready effects like Ever Vigilant & What Doesn't Kill Me. Throw a Symbiote Suit and Leader of the Guardians in there to boost up Star-Lord's stats and you'll be basic acting with 5 ATK/THW 3+ times a round. As for the scrap metal, toss the Element Gun (but not before exhausting it!). It will even start in your opening hand as a result of the Setup effect on Peter Quill.

/3. Spider Beings

The Friendly Neighborhood Web-Warriors are the cycle and defensive back bone of the deck. The Web of Life and Destiny in combination with Knowhere means that the Web-Guardians (thank you Star-Lord passive) will draw 2 cards: 1 when coming into play, and one when dying. SP//DR is especially cool since she will be completely free if played as the first ally in a turn! Ghost-Spider is great for setting up Sliding Shot + Warpath Turns, being able to selectively pull any of the identity specific events. Otto Octavius Spider-Man will ready the powerful Element Gun and even draw a card to pay for another use. He can also ready Jet Boots to block a Taunt-induced attack. The other Spiderfolk are generically strong and should be use to thwart and then block. Gamora isn't a Spider, but all of the events in this deck are very powerful, so she will always pull something useful.

Other Options

Ever Vigilant may be nice, but you become very reliant on the #Jet Boots being in play.

Spider-Man (the Miles Morales ally if I tagged this wrong) can be used in place of Hobie Brown, but generally with Star-Lord you want to run 3-cost allies and nothing more expensive to make efficient use of cards in your hand.

Across the Spider-Verse could be played by Warpath -- that would be pretty sweet!

Booster Boots are another TECH upgrade that interacts with repurpose, Otto, and are locked behind the Guardian trait. These are enticing, but you would have to go beyond 40 cards to squeeze these in.

The 40th card -- IPAC, 3x What Doesn't Kill Me, one less Spider ally...there are a lot of choices. IPAC is the most draw-dependent, since you need to hit Build Support to get it in play, and it might be more cohesive to the deck's strategy to use that Support tutoring effect for the Web, however, I shouldn't understate the power of IPAC in Star-Lord, who obviously has lots of positive interactions with the face-down encounter card you are dealt.

Great idea using Warpath, I just added it to my favorites so I can give it a try. I haven’t got around to it yet, but I was planning on using a bunch of the new cards for Star lord.
