Ghost-Spider - Avenger? - MCM Secret Santa 2022 Deck 1 of 2

Happy Holidays, on the Marvel Champions discord this year we did a secret Santa deck exchange and this is the first of two decks I'm sending to my secret exchanger! I was given a few bits of criteria:

• My secret draw wanted a leadership deck not revolving around chump blocking
• They often played 2 handed or with a play partner so two decks that intertwine work out fine
• They do not own Spider-Ham, Cyclops or Phoenix so we are avoiding cards from those packs.

Here's what I came up with! I hope they enjoy it and have a great time playing this over the Holidays. In an alternate universe there is no Peter Parker and Ghost-Spider has taken the role of the Spider-totem. Unlike the MCU where Tony Stark guides a young Spider-Man in this universe, Steve Rogers works in tandem with the young Gwen Stacy as he recruits her into the Avengers. For now she is an Honorary Avenger but after this mission that's sure to change. Steve has forgotten all about the The Power of Leadership and has been throwing chump allies under the bus. Can Ghost-Spider show him the fun in leading a team again? Can Cap and Ghostie save Christmas and bring back the The Power of Leadership? Find out!

This deck is all about stacking events under George Stacy and using them for an explosive 2 player tun. All six of your allies have the Avengers trait and can get benefit from Avengers Assemble! and Avengers Tower. You'll be stacking copies of Avengers Assemble!, Lead from the Front, and Teamwork under George and Black Panther for combo use.

Once the Captain America player has thrown an Honorary Avenger onto you you'll be able to use all your allies once, then ready them all and Ghost-Spider playing Avengers Assemble! - you can even possibly sneak in a Lead from the Front if you draw your cards right giving the entire team a +2 ATK +2 DEF! On top of this all the allies in your Captain America partner deck also have the Avenger trait and will gain the stat buff as well.

You may get a few other gifts from Captain America like a Boot Camp or Enraged be sure to mainly use allies for thwarting until your big blow out turn! You'll want to time things just right to have all the friendly characters hit the villain at the same time.

Ghost-Spider is the right hero for this deck because...

• She can stack the event combos for the right time under George.
• She can use Ticket to the Multiverse and really make your combo explosive
• With 3 DEF and a on hero Ready she is able to defend for herself and Cap if needed meaning you shouldn't need to chump with any allies (that's the goal, don't lose a single ally to chumping)

I tested this deck pairing out against: Rhino, Crossbones, and Sandman to great fun! Hope you enjoy!
