This deck is part of Project Post-con: building a ready to use deck for each existing hero, just using the available card copies of buying each pack once. This does not only enable fast pick-and-play, but it also makes each deck feel unique, as not everyone is using the same powerhouse cards. Each deck is intended to be fun and usable in expert mode, but none will be the absolute strongest possible due to the card limitations. Looking for other decks? Search for the Post-con tag.

Quicksilver is another out-of-the-box concept protection heroes. His defence is relatively low, but his ability to re-ready ensures you get at least 1 defence off per turn, without even hindering your player phase. Quicksilver is a quite set-up heavy character, who becomes a monster once he gets his upgrades out. Therefore, to help him with earlier phase set-up, he comes with a lot of cheap protection events. So let's dig into the only hero who can really do this all day.
RESOURCES
As often, protection cards are relatively cheap. His hero kit, however, contains a lot of costly upgrades. As a result, the deck contains the three basic resources and nothing else for this section.
ALLIES
With his innate ability to defend at least 1 attack for free and the many protection cards, Quicksilver does not really need many allies. His re-readying also gives him versatility in ATK or THW, so no real support is needed here.
- Scarlet Witch can hit hard, but is nothing too synergising with quicksilver in particular. She is good to keep around for Order and Chaos.
- Multiple Man, the only ally who can be included 3 times, is here to buy you some time. Ona. hand with not too many upgrades, he is great to stop a few villain phases and thin out the deck at the same time.
UPGRADES
Quicksilver has quite some set-up cards, but his ability to re-ready ensures at least some board management already early-game to allow you to put them out:
- Friction Resistance is the best card to mulligan for. With at least one ready in each phase, that means a potential 2 additional resources per round.
- His stat boosting upgrades are a close second, as they get double value: Reinforced Sinew, Hyper Perception, Accelerated Reflex and in protection Armored Vest. This allows to defend for free for three and take two actions of 2 for either ATK or THW.
- His stats can get further temp boosts with Adrenaline Rush and Civic Duty, which work best with this hero. In a turn with multiple Always Be Running, these cards are extremely resource efficient.
- Deft Focus helps with resource generation for most hero cards (both events and upgrades) and is cheap to play.
- Electrostatic Armor get's out a lot of use, as Quicksilver has no reason not to defend once per villain phase. It adds on his strategy of small ATK packages.
- Defensive Stance, finally helps thin the deck and give you an extra layer of defence in case of emergency.
SUPPORT
- Serval Industries is the only one, but certainly pulls its own weight. Basically this is your Always Be Running factory. Alternatively it helps get a discarded upgrade back.
EVENTS
- Always Be Running is the centric event of this deck, getting max use of all stat boosts, aided strongly by Friction Resistance.
- Maximum Velocity works best in turn in which a lot of always be running are available and Deft Focus will ensure you still have enough resources for it.
- Double Time is a useful event, especially early on when you haven't pumped your stats yet.
- Expert Defense, Preemptive Strike and Subdue have strong damage reduction potential, especially as you start of with 1 DEF.
- Order and Chaos, finally, is a bit more niche, especially as Scarlet Witch is more difficult to keep around than some other team-up duo's. But it can be a life-saver.
In conclusion, Quicksilver can literally run circles around Cap when it comes to going all day. His re-readying utilises his stats in a unique way, unlike any other protection deck.

Jan 24, 2022Missed it in the previous comment, but I also removed the Defensive Stance and added a third Expert Defense. |
With the release of vision I changed following contents:
Added 2x Side Step and Flow Like Water. Removed 3x Subdue.
I will create a V2.0 of all the decks in the future, but I don't want to flood the site with new decks every month with each new release.
