Hey all!
KennedyHawk here from from the MCM crew. Well, maybe I should all us the MAM crew, Marvel Allies Monthly... I've seen from many sources and Underground Distributions that the game of Marvel Champions actually feels more like Marvel Allies.
"Allies are the single-most strong card type!"
"Leadership needs a nerf!"
"All villains need overkill!"
I thought I'd take that for a test and make the greatest deck of all time. I present a new format and game for marvel champions...
I present to you Hawkeye and friends. It takes my favorite most busted hero (Note: Sorry Doctor Strange fans - second place is still okay) and combines it with the most busted op card type allies!
First lets get to the most important part of the deck -
The Hawkeyes
We have three copies of Hawkeye in this deck. First your amazing hero form Hawkeye. Next your slick 2-cost ally variant Hawkeye. Finally we have the ally version of Clint Hawkeye. Wait Kennedy what? You can't include ally versions of your hero? I'm here to tell you on today, you can play your game any way you want to. Heck buy 25 core sets and make a deck of ONLY Hawkeyes. Trust me! FFG will not hunt you down to stop it. Technically we could count Ronin as a 4th Hawkeye - debate is still ongoing. If you really want to be lame and play a "legal" deck I suppose you could swap Hawkeye out for a copy of Energy. On to the next part of the deck.
The Allies!
I've included a lot of allies in this deck. I definitly did not just include every ally I could from Leadership and Basic. I'm pretty confident that I did not do that - but you can fact check me if you want. Every ally has a pretty compelling excuse for inclusion. Let's go through them..
Ant-Man - Okay, well he's no Hawkeye but what can you do. Some people may tell you there are too many allies in this deck. They are wrong! You can always use extra allies in hand to pay for Ant-Man.
Black Knight - Okay, well he's no Hawkeye but he's got a cool helmet. While Black Knight wields. Did you know Hawkeye once went by the codename Ronin and uses a sword. Bad-ass.
Falcon - Okay, he's no Hawkeye. But he has a Disney+ show. Did you know Hawkeye has a Disney+ show coming up - I can't wait...
*Goliath - Again, not a Hawkeye. Why does everyone say allies at OP? They aren't Hawkeye. Just google it - literal definition of the word OP - Hawkeye... At one time Clint used this code-name I guess it's worthy of inclusion. Alright, alright... you probably get the idea. Hawkeye is OP so are allies. If anything you can chump-block with all the non Hawkeye allies and go wild.
What's it done?
You may be wondering. What amazing feats and achievements has this deck accomplished. Let me tell you - many! I've attempted heroic 3 Klaw with Doomsday chair approximately 2,026 times and have come up with 4 wins, 1 lose and 2021 draws. Those 4 wins were so sweet though - it's definitely worth the adventure of the rest of the games. You may wonder what a draw is - it's when I just re-mulligan until I get the hand I want. I highly suggest you try this deck out against heroic 3 Klaw and record your results in all the great MC tracking platforms out there. I don't think it would skew results at all it'll just show Hawkeye's greatness.
I think next year I'm going to try 2,027 games and see how it goes. Maybe I'll go 4-1-2022... Until then - Happy April Fools!
This dick is a genius! I mean deck. Yes, deck, with an e of HawkEye. Totally.
