Mulligan for Hellcat; get her out and don't use her to block. She's your key to controlling threat when Smash the Problem isn't in your hand.
Try to get out Superhuman Strength just before you play a Smash the Problem so you can get double use out of it. Plasma Pistols are for one particular purpose: removing Tough status cards. Both Piercing Strike and Brute Force require you to have the card in hand; Plasma Pistols you can play on the table and use whenever the need comes up. Plus, they're cheaper than Tac Teams.
For a minion-heavy scenario, replace the Combat Training with Hall of Heroes and 2x Plasma Pistol with 2x Relentless Assault (or 2x Beat 'Em Up, for Ultron).
