This is one of the decks I'll be bringing to CoH this year, excited for my first one!
The deck is a straightforward threat remover and it does a really good job of it.
Spectrum has base 3 thwart in Photon form but with Heroic Intuition, Heroic Conditioning and Surveillance Specialist from clearing Specialized Training we can get up to 6 base thwart. While this may seem like a lot of building up not all 3 upgrades are required to be efficient.
Readies from Ready to Rumble, Justice Served and Earth's Mightiest Heroes allow for extremely large chunks of threat to be removed in a single turn.
With all the upgrades out she still has base 4 thwart even in Pulsar or Gamma form so we can thwart for 4. Use Speed of Light to change form and ready from Ready to Rumble plus draw a card.
Thwart for 6 then use EMH on Blade to Ready and thwart for another 6. Combing with Overwatch can clear the last threat allowing another Ready from Justice Served. Very easy in mid to late stages to clear 20 plus threat.
Card draw from Skilled Investigator and Avengers Mansion helps pay for her events as well as allies on a regular basis.
Overwatch adds even more threat removal for us when there are multiple side schemes in play as well as allowing us to continue knocking down side schemes while keeping threat low on the main.
Chance Encounter helps us find allies to power our EMH strategy or Blue Marvel to change form.
Firebird](/card/58012) is great for turns where you have an awkward number of resources allowing you to overpay and get her regeneration clause.
Manifold helps find our PSS.
Yellow Jacket finds upgrades like chance encounter or Energy Duplication early on to get set up.
Swordsman provides solid attack as well as being able to tank a hit if we are low on health.
Evaluate Threat is one of my favorite PSS in the game. It is really nice to clear and grab avengers Mansion to play at a reduced cost or grab a 4 cost ally to play.
Spectrum is underrated and this deck showcases just how strong she can be when you play to her strengths.
I'd love to hear any feedback or experiences with it!
