Introduction
T'Challa use his ability at the setup step. After your Mulligan, you can search in your deck for a Black Panther upgrade. After that, staying in your Alter-Ego form is useful only to healing or drawing cards with The Golden City.
In hero form, Black Panther have a Retaliate trait, which allows him to deal damages at his attackers. Sustain his hero form for make use of this ability longer as possible
Leadership aspect leads your deck into a midrange style. Lot of allies who can help you to attacking, thwarting and also protect you against villain attack. Black Panther can exploit this aspect by Make the Call to play and activate much times Shuri ability.
Gameplay
In your first hand, keep only your resources cards (like Vibranium), Your Black Panther upgrades and The Golden City. Discard others cards. Don't keep allies, you can call them with Make the Call. After that, T'Challa's ability triggers : I advise to get your upgrades in this priority order : Panther Claws > Vibranium Suit > Tactical Genius > Energy Daggers (It's a subjective order, and it can change depending on villain gameplay). If you had to discard all your hand, keep one of this card for prevent a bad start : Avengers Mansion or Helicarrier
While early game, your goal is to play your Black Panther upgrades. Each of them cost 2 resources, so you can play them with one Vibranium. If The Golden City is in your hand, playing it in priority for cycling your deck ! It ability can't be used in hero form and you don't will remain longer into Alter-ego form. Focus DEF and THW actions with your hero : your allies and Wakanda Forever! deals damages for you.
After 2-3 turns, you pass in Mid-Game. You should have at least 2 upgrades in play. Continue to play in priority your remaining upgrades. Shuri can draw them for you. Playing your allies and Wakanda Forever! become interessting :
- A sequence Panther Claws -> Vibranium Suit deals 4 damages to an ennemy and heal you 2 damages for 1 resource.
- To optimize your plays, Ancestral Knowledge can be used to recover Wakanda Forever!, upgrades discarded or your Vibraniums from your discard pile into your deck.
- Use Shuri, Mockingbird and Maria Hill to absorb villain attacks. You will can replay them with Make the Call and benefit to their ability.
- After playing your priority cards, if you still have Make the Call or allies in hand, and enough cards to pay them. Do it !
I judge that Late Game begin when you deck is out of cards. Search again your Wakanda Forever! to finish the villain. With 2 or more allies on board, playing Lead from the Front is strong. Else possibility is to play Get Ready with Vision to make lot of damages.
Conclusion
-
Thwarting : Correct THW. Tactical Genius is a good threat reducer while a sequence and Emergency can prevent an dangerous threat grows while you're in Alter-Ego form. Moreover, with your aspect, you have allies like Maria Hill or Vision to control threat.
-
Power : Correct ATK, your Retaliate ability, but mostly 3 agressives upgrades (5-6 damages for by sequences). You have also access at Vision to smash the villain, Hawkeye for minon control.
-
Defense : Your DEF and Vibranium Suit can help you to sustain in your hero form. Your numerous allies can stand in the way of the villain while his attacks.
- Consistency : T'Challa Shuri The Golden City Ancestral Knowledge Nick Fury. You have also Maria Hill to cycling your deck, and all of those allies synergizes with Make the Call.
Perspectives of evolution
Get Ready is an interessting card, but it doesn't have lot of synergies in this deck.
Lead from the Front offers a finisher solution. You can keep this approach or content yourself only with Wakanda Forever! to attack the villain.

Jan 29, 2020I just played this deck solo and it was fun. I took care of the villain without any problems. Granted, it was Rhino (Standard); but it was my first go with Black Panther. I like that his Special can be used even if he needs do go to his alter-ego side to recover from a brutal Charge (+3 with overkill). |
So no Inspired in this deck? Just checking and for rationale :-)
