Infinite Spider-UK
By combining the Protection and Leadership traits, Spider-Woman can create Web-Warrior combinations in ways not accessible to other heroes. The intent of this deck, if the setup and villain permit it, is to protect and recur Spider-UK once 3 or more Web-Warrior cards are in play, which should occur after the first pass through one's deck. Optimized play, however, may entail a focus on other elements of the deck as one takes advantage of its flexibility to meet the demands of any villain or board state.
Note that Ghost-Spider is the only Web-Warrior ally that cannot be played from hand until Spider-Woman has Warrior of the Great Web in play to give her the Web-Warrior trait. Silk's ability, however, cannot be used unless another Web-Warrior card is in play, though that could include Web of Life and Destiny

VILLAINS TESTED AGAINST to refine the deck (and UNDEFEATED in both standard and expert): Klaw (with an expert house rule(1)); Black Widow; Batroc; and Magneto.
Possible Deck Refinements:
- One may wish to add an extra copy of Warrior of the Great Web in the deck since the extra copy can both be used as a resource for Energy Shield and be attached to a "Spider" ally if the other one is in play. Doing so could facilitate playing it on Spider-Woman sooner, though this wasn't a personal concern for me.
NOTABLE ELEMENTS OF PLAY:
Important Upgrades and Supports: The goal is to set up as many of these as one can in the first pass through one's deck while maintaining control of the board state. In future passes through the deck, one can add more of these when convenient, but a higher priority is to begin damaging the villain starting with the 2nd pass through one's deck.
- One or two copies of Finesse
- Quincarrier
- Clarity of Purpose
- Warrior of the Great Web
- Web of Life and Destiny
- Hangar Bay (One might wait till the 2nd pass through the deck for this card.)
- Jessica Drew's Apartment (Note that this is a lower priority card generally.)
Setting Up Important Upgrades with Card Draw:
- Nick Fury and Maria Hill, which both can be recurred with Make the Call and Regroup
- Triggering Web of Life and Destiny as Web-Warrior allies leave play, including when using Spider-Man 2099's ability.
- Face the Past
Facilitating Flipping to Alter-Ego: If I had Jessica Drew's Apartment in play, then I tended to want go to alter-ego more frequently; otherwise, I just did so for health recovery or when it was particularly "safe" to do so. Below are the cards that facilate going to alter-ego:
- 3 copies of Ready for a Fight
- Pheromones
Spider-UK: The cards below help Spider-UK to survive and recur regularly, as the need arises. Many of these were also used with Spider-Woman or other allies as well:
- Energy Shield: Note that a number of resource generators can be used with Energy Shield, including Spider-Woman's Finesse cards.
- Scarlet Spider
- Hangar Bay (for a 2nd use on defense)
- Regroup
- Make the Call
Conclusion:
The "Infinite Spider-UK" deck empowers Spider-Woman to leverage her unique dual-aspect nature, forging a formidable Web-Warrior synergy. While the core strategy revolves around establishing and recurring Spider-UK for sustained impact, the true strength of this build lies in its adaptability. By mastering the interplay between Protection and Leadership, you'll find yourself equipped to navigate diverse villain encounters and board states, transforming potential threats into opportunities. This deck isn't just about a single powerful combo; it's about the strategic flexibility Spider-Woman brings to the table, ensuring you're always ready to swing into action, no matter the challenge.
(1) Note on expert house rule for Klaw: This modification assures that expert Klaw makes for a consistently challenging villain during playtesting. After discarding cards at the beginning of the game and putting into play the first minion that is discarded from the encounter deck, if that minion is NOT a Masters of Evil minion, I search the encounter deck for a Masters of Evil minion and replace the original discarded minion with it. I then shuffle that original minion back into the deck.

One of the best villains that helped me figure out how to consistently win playing solo without chump blocking was Project Wideawake (where Sentinel is the villain) because you can lose from defending with allies. I ended up discovering that most heroes can actually win that way, depending on how strong the villain's attacks are. I think that's a very interesting idea you had to try it with Adam Warlock! If you ever wanted me to put together a deck specifically with your collection, I'd be happy to do so. It's part of what I offer on my YouTube channel. You're welcome to experiment on your own as well, of course. I always liked experminenting with deck builds myself. Either way is fine. :-) |
Thank you for the helpful write-up! Leaning into ally defense outside of chump blocking is something I haven't really done much of and would like to experiment with more. Unfortunately I don't have Rise of Red Skull (and probably never will now) but this inspires me to try similar decks with other heroes! Maybe Adam Warlock could provide some similar benefits, although he isn't a Web Warrior.
