Sidekick deck featuring the new Energy Shield and Ready for a Fight.

Energy Shield is a perfect marriage for a sidekick deck with Captain Marvel. When Captain Marvel has Sky Cycle, Energy Shield, and Spider-Woman has both Finesse cards out, you can get Captain Marvel to activate twice, draw 2 card, and have her consequential damage prevented. If you need Finesse to pay for other things, you can also heal Captain Marvel by flipping down if she has Sidekick attached to her. This is made so much easier in this deck due to Ready for a Fight. Once Captain Marvel is setup, you can go pretty crazy with Side-by-Side and not need to use the healing option due to Energy Shield. Since Side-by-Side's stat boost is until the end of the phase, you can start by getting the stat boosts and then ready Captain Marvel via Sky Cycle and Spider-Woman via Self-Propelled Glide or Leading Blow. Being that Captain Marvel is so integral to this deck, you have 4 ways to get her into play on round 1: 2x Suit Up, 1x Call for Backup, and Captain Marvel herself.

Alter-Ego is really good for Jessica Drew. She can use her apartment, she can heal herself and Captain Marvel (via Sidekick), she gets an additional card at the end of round, you can use suit up to get more upgrades on Captain Marvel, and you can see the boost card via AE ability to see if you need to trigger Ready for a Fight or not. If you didn't trigger Ready for a Fight, you can peak at the encounter deck to see if your Leading Blow will go off successfully.

With the relatively cheap kit, resource generators (Deft Focus, Quincarrier, Clarity of Purpose, and 2x Finesse), and card draw from Captain Marvel, you shouldn't have any trouble getting to at least 3 attack/thwart in a particular round. The Night Nurse will make sure that statuses don't prevent you from using your high stats. This deck has less allies than usual, but I think Spider-Woman is resilient enough that she needs them less between the status cards in her deck and potentially getting up to 3+ defense. If you're playing a really hard-hitting villain, you might swap out a Leading Blow or Ready for a Fight for an additional Energy Shield to attack to Spider-Woman for flexible damage prevention. We do have a few allies in here to help us. Brother Voodoo can help us find the event that we need. Polaris offers 2 blocks and 2 damage for 3 resources... good deal!. Clea is cheap (which is good for Spider-Woman) and can potentially be played multiple times per deck pass.

Hope you try this and like it :)
