So this deck was inspired by my daughter, she wanted to make a Wolverine deck with her favorite card which is Combat Training (not sure why I think it's the art?) And this is what we came up with.

He's the best at what he does, turns out it's pretty fun!

Wolverine is a simple guy, he doesn't mind taking a hit to land 1 (or 2 or 3...) of his own. We're going to profit from this through his oft forgotten upgrade Berserker Frenzy and Blood Rage.

Setup:

To get setup we want:

Adamantium Skeleton which boosts his health by 4, attack by 1 and gives him piercing.

Berserker Frenzy which lets him draw a card each time he takes damage from an enemy attack.

Blood Rage which lets him take a damage to draw a card after defeating an enemy with a basic attack.

Utopia which lets you ready an X-Men character when an X-Men ally enters play.

Combat Training which boosts attack by 1.

Fluid Motion which boosts attack by 1 when after an attack event is played.

The X-Jet which generates a resource.

Endurance which boosts health by 3.

If you're keeping track this puts Wolvy at 4 attack going up to 5 on Fluid Motion turns with piercing as well as the potential for readies from Utopia.

He also has a resource generator and is typically going to have a 6+ hand size thanks to Berserker Frenzy.

Endurance and his skeleton may seem like overkill but it allows him to tank villain hits and not need to recover.

Strategy:

The idea is to keep a steady stream of minions coming for Wolvy to beat up and draw cards from Blood Rage. We'll use Angela as well as Looking for Trouble to bring those minions into play.

We're going to focuson profiting from taking damage and use low cost allies to give us extra readies to take advantage of our Boosted attack stats.

There are a lot of allies in this deck and while chump blocking is not the main idea, they can be used for that in a pinch. With the low cost, you can also defend when low on health and use them to ready you from Utopia on your turn.

Picture this scenario when fully built out:

You took a hit from Klaw which drew you a card from Frenzy so you'll start your turn with 6 cards in hand as well as healing 2 damage from his hero ability.

Play LfT to bring out a minion also removing 3 threat from the main scheme. Lets say that minion is armored guard who has tough and 3 health.

Wolvy can basic attack that minion piercing the tough and defeating him. Use Blood Rage to deal a damage to yourself drawing another card. Now we're sitting at 7 cards in hand.

Use his claws to pay for Clobber which deals 3 damage to Klaw and since it's the first card we played this turn, it goes back to hand it also triggers Fluid Motion jumping Wolvy to 5 attack.

Now play Jubilee from hand, which readies Wolvy from Utopia. Target Klaw with her ability meaning that both her and Wolvy deal an extra 2 damage when they basic attack him. This would still leave you either 4 or 5 cards in hand depending on whether you used X-Jet or not.

Wolvy can Attack Klaw for 7 now and Jubilee for 3. With the remaining cards as well as X-Jet we could play Professor X who could ready Wolvy again to attack for another 7.

This is just one example and would be a minion defeated, 3 threat removed from the main (more from Prof if needed), 2 allies played and 20 damage to the villain in a solo game.

Another example would be using the claws to play Lunging Strike to deal 8 damage to the villain triggering Fluid. Attack for 5 with Logan, play a 2 cost ally to ready him from Utopia and attack for another 5. With the remaining cards play a 2nd Lunging strike for another 8 damage making a total of 26 just from Logan.

You're probably asking how is threat managed in this deck? Well our allies carry a good portion of that as we have White Queen, Shadowcat and Prof X with 2 or more thwart.

Beak brings the potential for solid threat removal depending on how many allies you have in play.

Track by Scent is really solid to play as getting the 2 card draw can help cycle the deck. Plus who doesn't like drawing cards?

In a pinch Logan can thwart, he's got a solid 2 but he's best served slicing and dicing.

Between his Boosted health stats, his healing hero ability and Regenerative Healing you almost never need to flip and recover.

Allies:

Colossus provides a tough and solid 3 attack.

Angela is here simply to bring out a minion and is the only non X-Men.

Beak was already mentioned and provides solid threat removal as well as a cheap ready.

Forge helps us find Utopia and The X-Jet.

Professor X provides a confuse, minion stun or ready an X-Men character. Also brings a strong 3 thwart.

Shadowcat brings a solid 2 thwart and can bypass annoying icons the turn she's played.

White Queen provides a solid 2 thwart and can strip a confuse, stun or a tough away.

Tempus is here to provide a cheap ready and a scheme cancellation. I typically leave her out for several turns in case they hit a treachery that allows them to scheme.

Triage provides a cheap ready and can heal an X-Men character for 2.

Overall I've had a ton of fun with this deck and it's performed really well.

It feels super thematic to Logan in my opinion. He's free to do what he does best which is best down bad guys, take damage and heal. In this case, he's able to profit from all of those things.
