Nightcrawler's sister Rogue, is a vampire!!! She feeds off of other's to draw strength. Rogue uses her brother as her "familiar" to seek out mutant "blood bags" to feed off of and discard. She puts her brother in harm's way by throwing him in front of enemy attacks, and periodically feeding on him as well! What does Nightcrawler get from all of this punishment? Hopefully a win!

The goal is to surround Rogue with heavy hitting allies like Colossus, Gambit & Rockslide so she can hit the villain for 5 damage each turn. Use "bit" players like Triage to heal Rogue, or use Professor X to confuse the villain and thwart for 8 with their combined powers. Keep Iceman around to keep stunning Azazel. Extra kudos if you use Karma to snatch up a minion and have Rogue feed off of them.

Use Mutant Protectors to sneak in tough or bigger allies at a lower cost. Rogue can then feed off of them if they survive the initial attack.

Protective Training can bump up her hit points to 6 & the Med Team can heal her, or her "blood bag" allies to keep them around for more feedings.

There's not much focus on Nightcrawler's events as you'll be spending most of your resources getting allies into play, and med teams to keep them around. You'll be blocking a lot, so Armored Vest, and Kurt's Cutlasses, & Electrostatic Armor will get him up to 5 DEF, with 2 damage pings. When some extra thwart is needed, have Rogue feed off of Nightcrawler to get her up to 4 THW, and have him thwart for another 2.

Boost Nightcrawler's hit points with Endurance to survive Rogue's feedings, and flip down to allow Kurt Wagner to use Angel's Aerie, and pray for his sins at Kurt's Chapel.

Love the idea, any thought to using game time or Utopia to get more activations out of rogue?

Good call on both of these. I was trying to keep it to 40 cards, but I just played a few rounds with these additions. I couldn’t get Game Time to sync up with what was going on with the board, but Utopia did get a character a ready a few times.
