Still revisiting older heroes. I had a small stab of guilt when I saw this week's hero spotlight was Nebula, that I haven't played nearly enough. This is the resulting deck.

Premice:

  • Nebula's upgrades and their special rock! How do you get more of it? Recur Gamora!

Put techniques into play then recur Gamora using Rapid Response, either because she was defeated from consequential damage or because she blocked the incoming villain hit (getting you an extra use of a technique during the villain's turn).

Other options to get the sisterhood going again and again include getting her back from the discard (Make the Call), Med Lab, Regroup or the player side scheme Call for Backup.

  • The deck features insane card draw: with Gamora in play, Daughters of Thanos becomes easy to pull off. Also, you've got tons of allies who draw you cards and may I suggest you recur them as well? Regroup works wonder for this, use it wisely and always have a meaningful ally to play, draw, thwart then block. It also means that "Welcome Aboard" gets to be incredibly useful.

  • Use Professor X as well as Evasive Maneuvering to confuse the enemy and make you returns to AE easier. Use this time in AE to draw some more as you play "cybernetics upgrades", or shuffle back tehcniques you want with Combat Ready, play an ally stashed under Med Lab... Sometimes staying an extra turn in AE is worth it (depending on the board state - watch those threaths!). It means your technique stays in play and maybe you can trigger it some more through Gamora.

The only downside is Shadow of the Past. Usually, though, after you beat your sister back to her senses, get her back to your side using Make the Call or Call for Backup (which usually sits on the board waiting for this precise situation. You don't want to lose your sister!).

That's it! Have fun!

Gamora has to be played, so Rapid Response and Call for Backup won't trigger her response when she gets into play. It's a bummer 'cause the concept is great.
