I was really excited to build around Meditation when I saw it, so I started thinking of Heroes that liked to flip down to Alter-ego to take advantage. I realized the way I tend to play Venom is to get Project Rebirth 2.0 down and just take damage (from the villain and Symbiotic Bond), and then flip almost every other turn to use Project Rebirth 2.0 and Crew Quarters twice to heal up, never exhausting Venom to Recover.

It functions as a "confuse lock" deck, with multiple ways to confuse the villain before flipping to Alter-ego: 1x "Think Fast!", 2x Behind Enemy Lines, and 2x Sonic Rifles. Since you will be flipping so frequently, I use Lay Down the Law for it's efficiency. In solo, with the villain confused, there is often less than 4 threat, so Lay Down the Law could be substituted with Clear the Area. Side Holster is included to be able to play Sonic Rifle rifle without sacrificing any of Venom's guns.

Meditation is the reason for all 3 and 4 cost allies, and allows you to set up your economy very quickly with Helicarrier and Avengers Mansion. Lockjaw is included to make sure you always have a target for Meditation in your discard pile. Honorary Guardian is included to play on Venom, so that he can play the Guardian allies in Alter-ego.

To sum it up, do hero things, confuse the villain, flip to Alter-ego, heal without exhausting so you can exhaust for Meditation and get expensive cards cheaply, flip back to hero form, and repeat.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my deck,

Nate
