OK, it's time to stir things up. Jessica Jones is the most powerful hero in Marvel Champions to date—period. She's capable of pulling off the same feats as Cable or Spider-Ham... without including as many staples in her deck.
In fact, Jessica is so powerful that she can get away with using only themed allies and consistently defeating the game’s most powerful villains on Expert mode in just a few turns. She is absolutely insane.
Side Schemes
Side schemes are obviously at the heart of Jessica's gameplay. The main question raised by her specific victory condition is: How many side schemes do I need to include in my deck to reach the final villain stage as quickly as possible—and one-shot him right away? This deck strikes a balance with six side schemes, in addition to Jessica's signature one.
Strategy Session is a key card in the deck for tutoring the schemes we're most interested in as early as possible—ideally on turn 1.
- Run Them to Ground is the side scheme we want to draw on turn 1. It provides an extra setup turn for free, and can be cleared with Snooping Around if we happen to draw a copy of it.
- Build Support lets us find Calling in Favors quickly (Helicarrier is in the deck as an alternative target if we've played it earlier), which is the card that stabilizes our economy when playing expensive allies.
- Superpower Training allows us to find 4K Digital Camcorder quickly, which can be a priority in certain scenarios.
- Specialized Training boosts our economy by drawing extra cards with each activation. Surveillance Specialist is our target if we thwart the scheme early on, but Combat Specialist may be more valuable in the final rush.
- Generation X can be a simple way to gain tempo by tutoring Breakthrough to ready our hero, then shuffling it back into the deck, or a way to rush the villain by recycling "Big Mistake".
- Lay the Trap is often used as a finisher to defeat a villain phase, before one-shotting the next phase right after using Alias Investigations' response.
Friends and Family
The allies are, frankly, interchangeable, and serve primarily to tie the overall mechanics together. I chose to include themed allies who are close to Jessica narrative-wise, but they can easily be replaced with your favorite allies.
- The Husband and the Overbearing Friend are the two exceptions. They allow us to comfortably survive even the villain's most violent attacks.
- The Nanny shines when she enters play with Calling in Favors, with a hand full of cards and therefore 4 tokens.
- The Teen Crush clearly fits with our side scheme mechanics and offers 3 to 4 versatile activations.
- The Best Friend will often help us deal damage to the enemy more quickly to reach their final stage, and has a relatively reliable response with 18 other energy cards.
- The Colleague is valued for his versatility, but will rarely be a priority.
The goal is to bring allies into play as often as possible via Calling in Favors. She-Hulk is our top priority to recycle from the discard pile with Chance Encounter.
Conclusion
I guess the rest of the cards are self-explanatory. Jessica is probably too powerful, but that doesn't take away from the fact that she's a lot of fun to play mechanically. And in the end, that's what matters most. Have fun!

Sep 01, 2026Not sure, I gotta try :D |
Sep 01, 2026Very nice deck! Yeah, she’s crazy strong. Just wanted to point out that the 4K Digital Camcorder discards minions, not defeats, which means it’s useful in scenarios like Kingpin but won’t help you advance the game. It’s still useful and powerful (as is every JJ card). |
Sep 01, 2026Now we are escalating to HEROIC RONAN mindblown.gif |
Sep 01, 2026i suppose 42 cards are not a problem because of numerous tutoring cards, right ? |

Sep 01, 2026Jessica doesn't care if Kingpin is in stage 2 because she can defeat him in stage 1. In fact, she might prefer that. |
Sep 01, 2026Did you beat Heroic Ronan? I know the title is a bit tongue in cheek but like...Jessica could actually do it and I'm curious if this got there |

Sep 01, 2026Thanks. I Will test her on the last campaign. |
Sep 02, 2026I made a meme in honour of this deck on the Book of Face in the MC group |
Sep 02, 2026Sweet Christmas, Expert is now for kids. The power creep is real. |
Sep 02, 2026The AE every turn and Tutor every turn with -2 cost, plus it's played and not just put into play, plus a 323 stat line plus snooping around... POWER. But Luke Cage might not be that far behind.. Found myself outright using 7 cards from his set without trying. |
Sep 03, 2026Has anyone played this in a 3-4 player game? How much value does it lose as threat increases in those side schemes? |
Sep 03, 2026I’ve tried playing this multiple times against Ronan and they have each been long affairs. I am not sure how you are deleting the final stage in Expert while ALSO using Calling in Favors so quickly (you said 5 turns). Alias exhausts after you defeat a side scheme so the most it gives is 2 per round and that’s wiped away by calling in favors. So when I tried this I would go get Build Support right away, clear it with Snoop around if I was lucky to draw it, grab calling in favors, and then immediately use calling in favors. That leaves only 2 threat on Alias. Flip to hero form and clear Cut Power with my basic and now there is 3 threat on Alias because it is already exhausted so this side scheme generates no threat. Subsequent games I tried just leaving cut power so alias had a guaranteed threat next turn. Anyways then I started to math it out I feel like a somewhat lucky amount of threat alias can get is an average of 5 per turn (some combination of snoop, basics, 1 side cleared, stakeout, and/or circumstantial evidence). So at best I feel I could reach 25 threat on alias by turn 5 and NOT use calling in favors or the kicker on Big Mistake. If I were to use calling in favors every turn from turn 1 it would take 7-8 turns to generate enough threat on Alias to delete stage 3 Ronan, more if I used Big Mistake to get through the large Guard/Patrol Kree minions. All that and still deal 18+ damage to Ronan’s stage 2. I feel like I am missing something for how you are accomplishing this all in 5 turns, it’s a good deck but I am finding it to take much longer than that. Teach me haha |
