Deck Pitch: She-Hulk tries to dump her hand every turn for maximum effectiveness.
When the host of The People's Podcast, greatest podcast in existence, and his two special guests told me to build them a She-Hulk deck, I'm forced to oblige. I thought really hard for about 5 minutes on what to play. Her economy is kinda weak unless she's taking damage to draw you cards and then I saw that Earth's Mightiest Heroes was a 0 cost event. So something with the name "Zero to Hero" or "Zero to Hulk" stuck in the ground beef that inhabits my skull. Obviously I scrapped that for something that made very little sense. I actually thought I was gonna call this Zero Hulk 30 because I was going to have 30 zero cost cards in the deck. Then I realized I would have 49 cards here. So I cut that down to Zero Hulk 25. Then I realized Zero Hulk 40 sounded better so I cut out more cards in order for the number to be deck size.
Game Plan
With a four hand size we are running to be able to dump our whole hand every turn and not waste any of it. We have some meta games to dump our spares. We have a ton of zero costs to make sure we don't have to pay anything to get our hand empty. So just throw everything away and never look back! Were heavily banking on drawing into our Laser Swords and then swinging at the villain for a lot of damage.
So from card to card, here’s how we do that.
Hand Size Mitigation
Assess the Situation temporarily bumps up our hand size. If you don’t spend it, use it to set you up for a bigger next turn.
Focused Rage lets us draw more cards, no downside.
Healing Factor gives us health back to use for Focused Rage.
Live Dangerously gives us +2 hand size but it’s better to save this for a post Laser Swords world.
Readying Up
Earth's Mightiest Heroes we are running two targets for this and our attack is better than theirs so unless you’re thwarting with them, keep them around to give you more readies later.
Stick-To-Itiveness lets us resource dump for a ready.
Face the Past but it also kills our momentum for punching the villain so save it for the end of the turn or when you have other minions to take care of.
One-Two Punch is always good.
Grand Finale
Once you play Laser Swords there’s no reason to be hesitant. Just start finding ways to push damage. Swing as much as you can especially if Live Dangerously is out and face tank the boss until you pull Gamma Slam. This is a live in the moment deck. Do what you can on your turn until you’ve decided you want the game to be over.
Other Stuff
Don’t forget to get out your resource dumps for when it’s less worthwhile to play some of your 0s. Blackout and Tic-Tac-Toe can eat some of your more niche cards.
Kidpool is in this deck for the piercing so you don’t have to waste precious attacks on clearing those before you can do damage.
Limitless Stamina wasn’t included here because it’s not a 0 cost, but it would be a great inclusion. If I wasn’t building such a jank deck I would have had that and Ready to Rumble in here. Feel free to include them if you wish.
