Agent Coulson brandishes Pulse Grenade Launcher: "You like this? We started working on it after you sent The Destroyer. Even I don't know what it does."

This deck uses various tutors and recursion methods to ensure Fury has absolute control of the Encounter Deck at all times. But of course, when you know what's coming, you can maximize Pulse Grenades.

Enjoy blasting the villain through stage 2 in one go.

does the suit give +1 to the grenade's basic trigger or to the overall damage? the difference is massive. if you spend 3 threat and reveal 2 boost icons does it hit for 8 or 5?

It seems to multiply. It says "deal 1 damage for each" as opposed to "deal damage equal to" or "deal x damage where x is". So if you reveal 6 icons and spend 3 threat off your suit it's 24 damage. But now that we have Falcon, who uses boost icons for numbers more, it might be worth checking the wording and intended interactions there to see if I'm wrong.

Yeah, looking at Falcon, all of his kit says "additional damage" or "deal x damage" when counting boost icons. That says pretty clearly to me that Pulse Grenade works differently and therefore the suit counters spent are multiplied by the boost icons.

very cool! this is my favorite fury deck. using intel to place the bombs is so thematic.

i added Misty Knight, Quake and 2 Mission Training. Misty and Melinda reveal the encounter card with each activation so they might be worth sticking around with Mission Training. Quake is for emergencies (including Global Logistics) activation.

Gambit and Blindfold got dropped for theme

I too have been fiddling with it and I think I can get more thematic and more effective. What I'm finding is that getting the bombs set up can be costly and slow and I'm not thwarting enough in that time. So I'm thinking drop Build Support, Helicarrier, and Sky Destroyer for 3x Infiltrate since that reduces setup and replaces it with thwart. Then as you suggest replace Gambit with Quake. Then maybe replace Blindfold with Field Agent so Maria can generate more tokens and you have an easy target for Global Logistics.

I'll post another version after some testing.

Mission Training can't attach to May or Misty. Field Agent would be a better way to keep them alive as it can also exhaust for Global Logistics.

perfect! made all of those changes.

recap:

dropped Gambit, Blindfold, Build Support, Helicarrier, Sky-Destroyer, 2 Chance Encounter

added Misty Knight, Quake, 3 Infiltration, 2 Field Agent,

even without buffing options i think Misty is worth it. she skries for 3 turns and has massive thwart, which are two things this deck wants the most

Let me know how it goes, I'm a little skeptical of Misty and Melinda because of the cost. Fury's kit has a lot of must-haves like Fury's Flying Car, Secret Agent, Fury's Watch, and Maria Hill, so I don't know how many hands I'll have available to dump for those two. But yeah if you get one early in a hand full of events when you don't need a bunch of thwart, you'll be set for life with them in play with Field Agents.

I'm testing dropping them for Determination and Super Spies since Maria will stay out with Field Agent we can probably get a ton of tokens that way. I find extra tokens are handy if you need to clear a Guard minion before detonating the bomb.

Yep, I'm sold on version 2 of this deck. Just played Expert Ultron 2 player with a Winter Soldier deck. Upon hitting phase 2 where Ultron can't take damage if there are Drones, the strat became to wait for all 3 Pulse Grenades and a Spray Fire. Sure enough, as soon as I drew spray fire, I used Eyepatch and Hill to get the suit to 10 threat, cleared Going Undercover to remove any 0 and 1 boosts. Then blew up all 52 health from Ultron in one go.
