Wolverine | Thunderbolts Lightning Rod (Con of Heroes 2025)

This deck is designed to take on the the Thunderbolts scenario at Con of Heroes 2025, which will bring in Nemesis sets instead of the normal Thunderbolts.

Since Nemeses are Minions, this means that anti-minion tech that might otherwise feel underwhelming will actually do a lot more work than usual. Examples here include Pinned Down and Siryn. Additionally, Astonishing X-Men is a devastatingly-strong card here, since it has the capacity to block a much higher volume of attacks and schemes than with a normal scenario. While Omega Red has some defense against stuns and confuses with Steady, you can manipulate the field to push him out-of-engagement or alternatively focus him down early.

Lots of healing here for the table thanks to The Night Nurse, Med Team, Elixir, and Triage.

Northstar, Desperate Defense, Pinned Down, Armored Vest, and Northstar are present to facilitate using Wolverine to block or reduce incoming damage.
