This is a pretty straightforward Aggression deck for Thor. Use Defender of the Nine Realms and "You'll Pay for That!" to keep threat under control while smashing everything in your path with a hammer! Defend with allies on their last HP (or Throg with Tough), and use Godlike Stamina to heal yourself and clear stuns so that you can keep up the offense.
Quincarrier gives you a way to more reliably access Mental resources, in case you need them to clear a villain attachment. Team-Building Exercise can be a nice bonus if you get it out early, and allows you to easily replay Mjolnir after throwing it. That said, don't get too caught up playing resource generators when there are immediate threats; prioritze knocking out minions ASAP, and clearing side schemes when you have cards that allow you to do so.
With Thor's high ATK, you'll find the villain probably can't withstand his pressure for long. Keep up the attack, and aim to knock the villain out before needing to recover more than once!

Jan 22, 2025Thanks! Asgard gets played sometimes, but it's pretty low priority. I basically only play it if I have a double-resource card and don't need my hand to address threats (which happens with some frequency, thanks to cards like Mean Swing). |
Jan 22, 2025Love to see Leethus posting decks!! |
Jan 23, 2025Out of curiosity, what are your thoughts Pitchback? I've been trying to incorporate it into a Thor aggression deck. Seems like it could work well here. |

Feb 05, 2025I love decks that are on theme like this. This is how I like to play this game and how I build my commander decks in Magic. I don't like to just find the most broken thing I can that feels like I am using a loophole. I like to do what it seems like I "should" be doing, but do it well and consistently. |
I love both theme and deck style here. The role is clear and there’s lots of great tools. Really great deck. One question, when you get Asgard in hand, do you try to play it or pilot this deck without it?
