Swinging Side Kick

This deck is aimed at getting your sidekick out turn 1. Mulligan whatever it takes to get either a Suit Up or Black Cat. With Suit Up, use your hand to play both Black Cat and Sidekick. With a 6-card hand, at worst, you’ll use three cards (two resources and Suit Up) to bring Black Cat and Sidekick, so now you have 5 cards in hand. Use 2 to pay for Black Cat; use 1 to pay for Sidekick. Don’t forget to use your Scientist ability for a resource if there’s a card you want to hold on to.

Lots of Readies

Now you have 6 cards to ready Black Cat, and three of them will give you and Black Cat stat boosts. Black Cat doesn’t take consequential, and Spider-Man really wants to use Aunt May to heal him, so (generally) take the stat boosts from Side-by-Side. Make sure to get Inspired on Black Cat so those attacks can really boost (especially after you’ve played Cyclops)

Inspiring the Team

There are two groups of allies: temporary and table, and you’ll pick and choose what you need depending on player-count and table needs. With your other Suit Ups, you can get the ally you need.

Table allies:

  • Cable - Great in solo to help with thwarting. Inspire him for a three thwart and a card (since most solo schemes exist in the 2-4 scheme range)
  • Iron Man - Great all around. Inspired is free to play on him to make him a 3/3 and Team Training gives you an extra activation.

Temporary allies:

  • Cyclops is a great finisher. He comes in and all those readies will really amp up the damage, especially in multiplayer games.
  • Kid Omega is a nice equalizer with the effect you need.
  • Moon Girl helps you draw into what you need in alter ego.
  • White Tiger helps you draw into what you need on the hero side.

Not Voltron

This isn’t a voltron deck. I didn’t want to order or rely too much on Suit Up or deck order, so this deck will help you get the right allies out to help the board and win the game. If you end up dealing with retaliate enemies, you may end up using Side-by-Side to heal Black Cat since Peter rarely recovers on his own. You can add Sidearm for Black Cat if you really want to, but in general, you’ll still be okay.
