Mutant Mayhem is such an interesting card, giving you the ability to replay allies and get their 'enters play' effects over and over again. You're looking for a duo of X-Men and X-Force allies (although there is a new card coming out soon that can open up more options SPOILER ALERT)

There are a lot of really cool X-Men to use but I really like Beast the best. Since Mutant Mayhem is 3 cost, that's most of your turn, but if Beast can return a copy of Band Together, you'll have at least a double resource, and likely a triple resource to play. There are lots of decks currently posted that have Beast along with Mutant Mayhem.

However, there are only just a couple that use Angel as the X-Force part of the combo. I really like using Angel because he readies Psylocke which gives you access to her 3ATK or 3THW stats a 2nd time. That's really powerful.

So in an ideal world, when you Mutant Mayhem, you'll ideally to 3ATK with Psylocke, then 2ATK with Beast and 2ATK with Angle. Then you can use 1 or 2 of Psylocke's resource generators plus 1 or 2 other cards to play Mutant Mayhem. It'll get you a double/triple resource back again in Band Together, plus ready Psylocke, and then you can do it all over again.

If you use all of the stats on ATK, you can do 14 ATK total in bunches of 2 or 3, or you can do up to 12 THW total in bunches of 1, 2 or 3. Or, some mixture in between as the board state requires.

Plus, with Psylocke, you will then still have a few cards left to use that sweet resource card that you pulled from Beast and still have more left to your turn.

Personally, I like to facilitate this combo even further by using Black Panther to help me pull Mutant Mayhem over and over again, and I use any copies of Rapid Response I find to help with this. Essentially, anytime I have a copy of Rapid Response in hand, I can use it to trigger Black Panther to find me a new copy to play when I'm ready.

Psylocke also has access to the awesome Professor X recursion where you throw him back into your deck by exhausting a Psi-Energy upgrade and then pull him with Cerebro, so if you save one of your upgrades, you can use that triple resource to put the Professor into play anytime you want to flip down. You will need the Triskellion down for this though. If you do flip down, then you can access Leadership Training to get Mutant Mayhem back into your deck.

Finally, remember that 14 Damage that I promised earlier. Well, if you can play a copy of Lead from the Front before you start this whole thing, your main Beast/Angel/Psylocke characters now can do 20 damage, and really close the game out incredibly quick.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do. It's a pretty sick combo that's highly reliable, and really only needs Beast and Angel to get kickstarted. As always, I'd love for a like or comment so the deck can be visible on the homepage for a while.

Until next time Champions...

Love this! It'll be even better when Children of the Atom releases with Magneto.

I know what I'll be building when I finally get my hands on Jubilee's pack. Fun!

Do you usually can get a "Mutant mayhem" Each turn? if so, i believe that Psychic Kicker can be even more efective than Lead from the Front. If you ready and get an extra activation of an ally which you are going to "replay" Next round you are getting an extra 2+x of attack or thwart which is almost the same you get with Lead from the Front (at the cost of just 1ER isntead of 3). In that case probably Team Training would be needed also.

@wehehe

I like your suggestion! I find I usually get about +7 ATK or THW out of Lead From The Front with 2 activarions each from Angel, Beast and Psylocke plus probably more from another ally (Panther likely).

But Psychic Kicker is pretty cheap and easy to play and doesn't get much opportunity outside just a small handful of heroes. We do need Team Training though, so I think adding 2 in place of Bunker and Mansion is a good call!

It's probably due to my playstile, but I've never been in the situation where Lead from the Front was a decisive card, while I've been with Psychic Kicker (That extra activation is far too important).

Anyway, just are little tweaks, I really love your decklist. I'm at a crossroad right now, because I also love this beast. I don't know which one to keep sleeved :(
