It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a multiplayer Drax in possession of a good damage output, must be in want of some healing.

Where's The Justice?

Drax hates going into alter-ego to recover since he loses his counters. Typically, that has meant Drax is run in Protection, using Med Team to heal himself and/or Mantis.

Other solutions include Leadership, using Inspired Presence or United We Stand (from other players), or just forgetting the healing altogether with Aggression and going all in on damage. But with a single 1THW and only 2 thwart events in kit, and a lack of healing in Justice, there just isn't much love for a Justice Drax.

On top of that, a recent focus in Justice on the confuse archetype has further put people off using Drax in the aspect, since confusing isn't much good if you never flip. At time of writing, Drax has been out for a year, and there's a total of only seven Drax Justice decks published on marvelcdb.com, between them sharing only 7 hearts. But some recent card combos, along with a basic upgrade which is a dream for Drax, have meant Justice is now not only viable but also fun!

Bit On The Side

The key to this deck is clearing side schemes for a benefit. Skilled Investigator has existed for a long time and will give Drax an extra card when a side scheme is cleared, which is something he really needs. But the real winner is the combo of One Way or Another & Chance Encounter; the former will give Drax THREE more cards, at the cost of revealing a side scheme. But with a Chance Encounter thrown down, that side scheme becomes a guaranteed way to pull Mantis, who is vital for staying alive and in hero form as long as possible.

Once Mantis is out, we're going to use her to heal Drax as quickly as possible, allowing him to take damage from the villain straight to the face. When she kills herself from healing Drax all those times, we're going to have another Chance Encounter with her as quickly as possible and just keep on healing.

Of course, the side schemes need to actually be cleared for that plan to work, and Drax's single 1 THW has been a source of frustration with Drax Justice since day one. Sense of Justice is here to ease that by funding Clear the Area/Multitasking, and it will be easier to play it with the extra card draw. But the other key element of this deck is to get that 1 THW up to 2 using the Symbiote Suit.

Ya Basic

Some cards are crazy because they are legitimately OP (here's looking at you, Moon Girl). The interesting thing about Symbiote Suit is that it isn't necessarily OP, but it's very character-dependent; the extra health means alot to Drax, as do the stat boosts with his in-kit readies, and the extra hand size is also great since he's a 4 hand size hero.

In previous Drax Justice decks, giving up 5 attack to exhaust for a single threat felt bad; giving up 6 attack for 2 threat doesn't feel anywhere near as bad if the threat needs to go. Having the Symbiote Suit is so good that it's almost alone worth running The Power in All of Us; we're not running Power of Justice anyway since our Justice cards are so cheap so we have room.

But if we're going to use TPiAoU, we'll give the last spaces in the deck to some basic allies which will also be a possible target, preferably either those which give card draw (Ironheart/Nick Fury) or high thwart to pop those side schemes (Snowguard/Nick Fury/Vivian. Drax also has a particularly nasty nemesis side scheme which Vivian can treat as blank for a round if we're not able to clear it immediately. We're also running Martinex since he's cheaper for Drax, but he's probably top of the list for substitutes, along with Nick & Snowguard if you find them a bit too expensive.
