“I want more! I want more! I want X-Men TV!”

Uncanny X-Men + Team-Building Exercise or a resource generator gives you free 2 cost allies from hand.

Add Clarity of Purpose and you can pay for 3 cost allies straight from hand.

The real fun begins when you get a few allies on the table and get Beast out. Why? Because he can grab Band Together and now you can pay for a 4 cost ally with one card from hand with the aforementioned Uncanny X-Men out, or immediately get out The X-Jet.

Band Together is a surprise solid card for Scott as he can have issues with the multi aspect of his Allies, which isn’t a problem for the card. Easily it’s a double resource to help pay for anything but usually with this build it’s worth 3!

What if it’s only worth 1 resource?

  • That sounds like a great choice for Optic Blasting or any resource fodder.

What if it’s worth 0??

  • well there is a card that can still use it…Plan B. It doesn’t care about resources. And that card just so happens to be a Tactic Upgrade that you can fetch at the start of the game. Ever want to play multiple 4 cost allies in the same turn? With this deck I was able to play 3! How? A bit of luck but 2 is super easy.

You can sub out for your favorite X-men allies. The only one I would advise against is Karma, as she can inadvertently kill your Team Up bonus, although she could find her uses in niche cases.

Ideal first turns is getting one of the supports out and a cheap ally to get started, but after a few turns you’ll be fully set up and enjoying the nice relaxing puzzle that is optimizing Cyclops to do absurd damage with the team to the villain. Rapid Response is really low priority and almost put in Regroup as both are useful, but the tactic aspect of RR inched it out to be included.

Thanks for checking this out!
