Based on a deck by Steve Kimmell, with changes from the Nebula and Mad titan packs.

As in the original deck, the goal is to boost Mantis to keep her alive as long as possible so she can heal Drax and thwart (up to THW 4) hence the upgrades. In this version I use 2 other allies: Rocket Raccoon and Major Victory. The 1st one is for thwart and occasional attack against minions, the 2nd one for the combo. To protect the allies: 1x First Aid and 2x Ready for Action. When Mantis is not used, she can contribute her ATK (1 to 3) or THW (2 to 4) to Drax's activation with Teamwork.

The combo is Major Victory + Blaze of Glory + Rapid Response:

  • while Major Victory has a single health remaining, I play Blaze of glory,
  • I attack with Drax and draw a card if I have DWI Theet Mastery
  • I activate Major Victory,
  • as he is defeated, I ready Drax,
  • I use Rapid Response to put Major Victory back in play with 1 damage,
  • I attack with Drax and draw a card if I have DWI Theet Mastery,
  • I use Major Victory with his last health point,
  • as he is defeated, I ready Drax,
  • I attack with Drax and draw a card if I have DWI Theet Mastery.

So a total of 3 attacks of 3 - 6 damages each, with potentially 3 cards drawn. And if you have drawn 3 cards you can probably afford to spend 2 resources to ready Drax a 3rd time and activate him a 4th time.
