I've been playing two-player games with a friend semi regularly and we have started playing The Mad Titan's Shadow campaign. He chose a Thor aggression deck while I decided to carry the theme over from when we finished Galaxy's Most Wanted. During that campaign, I played Gamora and he played Drax. They both make an appearance in this deck, tying the two campaigns together thematically. I've been enjoying this deck immensely, so I thought I'd share it.

So there's nothing really novel here when it comes to strategy. It's a straightforward Guardian ally leadership deck that uses card draw and Make the Call to get an army of Guardians out, with Nick Fury as Nebula's lieutenant. Even after all the new cards that have come out, Nick is still a dynamite game changer with his drawing three cards to set up more plays while also becoming a blocker in the villain phase.

As is always the case with Nebula, you want to flip pretty frequently to take advantage of her AE ability to draw 2 cards after playing a technique upgrade. Don't be scared to use Combat Ready to yank out a technique to use its effect immediately. Nearly every case of playing it like this will advantage you.

There are a lot of good options for Cameo, such as Shuri for Nebula's techniques, but for our thematic campaign I settled on grabbing Mantis. This way all the signature players from our GMW playthrough are represented, and her healing ability is outstanding. I only ever use her for that, refusing to block, thwart, or attack with her once she's on the field.

Knowhere and The Triskelion allow up to five allies on the field, and once that happens there's very little that can hold them back. With my friend playing Thor and having fun smooshing minions, I keep the threat low and provide blockers to let him swing away. I think we're a pretty good team, if I do say so myself.

Swaps!

I used to have Mission Leader in here, as well as Innate Inspiration. I found focusing on clearing side schemes to be a little bit of split focus, and choosing to start with Innate Leadership in hand plus discarding two cards for Cameo locked my opening hand down too hard for my liking. Team Training came in instead, and Team-Building Exercise works for all the Guardian allies.

I'll also add Mockingbird and Professor X to the deck if I know stalwart/steady isn't an issue with the villain. You could just add them or swap out Groot and Rocket Raccoon for them, removing Team-Building Exercise for Righteous Purpose or Resource Reserve or even a copy or two of Rapid Response. Whatever you like really. Ironheart is also a good pick but her ability doesn't trigger off of Make the Call. On that same note, the signature ally Gamora doesn't either.

Have fun!
