In the final deck I'm posting for the Winning Hand episodes, I have a fun deck that leans into Nightcrawler using Bamf! and low cost events like Gunboat Diplomacy, Clear the Area, and Turn the Tide to generate value on a low cost curve. Chance Encounter is here to help find allies when you need them!

This is a Gunboat Diplomacy deck for Nightcrawler, using Deadpool to keep Gunboat online. This isn't meant to build the biggest and best Gunboat turn, but to have a consistent way to use it.
One Way or Another gets you a side scheme and helps set up, and Chance Encounter will get an ally to hand (Deadpool if you haven't found him yet; he shouldn't leave play for the rest of the game). Once Deadpool in in play he will likely stay there to keep Gunboat online, but Dazzler and Professor X can be recurred for effect.
Skilled Investigator is just a great justice card, and so is Clear the Area. Heroic Intuition boosts your thwart for basic activations or for Gunboat Diplomacy. Turn the Tide gets some cheap damage out.
Dazzler and Professor X can help with confuse status to help with flipping down when needed.
Moira MacTaggert helps when draw cards when you flip to Alter-Ego, and The X-Jet can help power your economy. Weapon X is another great tech for AE, to get maximum value when you flip down. Don't forget to use Kurt's Chapel to get some more cards in hand--Weapon X can make sure you have below full HP if you haven't taken damage.
Ready to Rumble is here to ready back up after recovering.
Prism Dust can help with confusing enemies to increase damage, but also feels really thematic for a character who is BAMF-ing around and popping up unexpectedly.

Middle of the road gunboats are the way!! Ive enjoyed x23 with gunboat that hit for 4-5 consistently and can potentially get to 6 but not necessary. Much much smoother.
