This is a streamlined deck built around the Cyclops + Shoulder Cannon combo. I'm certainly not the first to build a deck with this combo, but it's the first time I've built a deck fully dedicated to it, and it got a recent power boost from the cards "Avenge Me!" and Evaluate Threat. I also built it for the Con of Heroes 2026, where games are primarily 3- or 4-player, and Cyclops's value grows even further with more players able to attack the turn he comes in.
Just in case you haven't seen the combo, here's how it works: Each use of the Shoulder Cannon is a separate 1-damage attack. Cyclops increases damage from attacks on the focused enemy by 1, doubling the damage output from the Shoulder Cannon. Using Rapid Response, Command Team, and Make the Call, we can potentially trigger Cyclops's ability two or three times in one turn, resulting in even more cataclysmic damage.
The rest of the deck is simply greasing the wheels to enable the combo. Call for Backup is another way to get Cyclops in play, or it can grab Agent 13 or Nick Fury, Sr. for raw value. Evaluate Threat can find the key Munitions Bunker which helps load up ammo for the combo turn or acts as another way to get the aforementioned allies for value. "Avenge Me!" is a no-brainer for any Avenger hero, but card draw especially benefits a combo deck looking for key pieces.
Mission Leader is a staple for multiplayer games, and Rhodey gets the Soldier discount. Grant Ward (and Nick Sr) provide usefulness to Command Team outside the combo turn. Victoria Hand can help stock even more resources on the Bunker.
I've notably excluded perennial all-stars Maria Hill and Nick Fury from this deck. Maria is so blatantly good in multiplayer that I have her on my personal forbidden list to allow me to do other, more interesting things. Nick is similarly unfun to me with Rapid Response in multiplayer, so I nerfed him slightly with Nick Sr. In a more tryhard version of the deck, i would cut Nick Sr. and Victoria Hand for the two of them.
While I didn't push the difficulty too much in my games with this deck at the Con, I can report that it performed well in a Standard game against She-Hulk and in the Epic Loki scenario, which my table played on Standard. It's one of the decks I was most pleased with at the con and I think I'll be keeping it together for a while!
I was part of that she-hulk game and witnessed you pop-off for 60 damage on She-Hulk in one turn to end the game. It was sick!
