Man of PURPOSE.

Or err... Purpose Man? We'll have to workshop that one.

Repurpose is a card I know is beloved by many, but I've always had a hard time using. It'd either be a dead draw early, or come too late. If only there was a way where I could SEE the Repurpose coming, or even maniupulate the perfect turn to make use of it. That's weird... it seems like I'm seeing red. I think somebody called for some Signature Sunglasses.

Wonder Man excited me from the jump, and after seeing his card reveals, he seemed like the perfect hero for me to give Repurpose an honest shot. With the ability to manipulate events in my hand as I please, it gave me the control to use the card to its fullest.

The premise behind the decklist is relatively simple, it is a Repurpose deck with some considerations tailored to my playstyle. There are numerous cards to support the table: The Night Nurse, Dr. Sinclair, and Muster Courage to name a few. The goal of this deck is to act as a jack-of-all-trades by playing high tempo events, freeing up his basic activation to defend for others, and have the ability to have explosive turns once the tech card's are ready to be reused.

Lets talk gameplay:

General Wonder Man advice would be to try and setup his Signature Sunglasses early as it gets his entire deck early. It allows him to have a ton of control over specific cards to answer threats on the board. Mr. Hollywood goes a long way to making his events more efficient, but is still secondary (imo) to the glasses. The inclusion of Yellow Jacket makes this more consistent, being able to find both alongside any of the included Repurpose targets to develop or use as a resource.

Since this is a protection deck at heart, the number one goal is to identify the identities that need protecting and making steps to prioritize their safety. Muster Courage is a very efficient way by providing toughs to the squishier members on the team. The inclusion of Ever Vigilant allows your basic activation to be flexible, so feel free to throw a basic defense during a particularly nasty villain activation.

Outside of general protection shenanigans, you want to make use of your Energy Siphon's to build efficiently. Cards such as Avengers Mansion and Quincarrier allows Wonder Man to have more explosive turns by playing more events for threat removal, damage, or even toughs.

Although Quincarrier is excellent for powering up your events, it plays a secondary purpose by providing resources to help dodge a nasty encounter card with Black Widow or a clutch heal through Dr. Sinclair.

Protect, play events, build and thrive as the newly minted Man of PURPOSE. You'll be flying high, healing and handling threats as this ionic-powered hero!

Final thoughts and considerations:

I really do like how this decklist let me found joy in a card I struggled with in the past. This deck doesn't make use of his deckbuilding ability, but I'm sure there are versions of this deck that bump up his thwarting capability with cards like Yaw and Roll and Everywhere All at Once.

And that's it! if you get a chance to play it, let me know what you think! I hope you find it as fun and powerful as I did. Enjoy!
