This deck was the result of a randomizer assignment and pairs with a Peni Parker jusice deck named . Together, we faced Sabertooth (Standard II / Expert II) with Hard Sound, Kree Militants, and Goblin Gear.

Seeing Standard II AND Expert II — plus a Goblin Glider somewhere in the encounter deck — didn’t exactly make me excited. But after three losses and some adjustments, this list really started to click.

Game Plan Early game, Miles Morales isn’t the star of the show. His job is to support Peni Parker by picking off minions with Web-Shot and preparing for the midgame. The key is patience. Once Peni Parker is fully set up and controlling the board, that’s when Miles flips the switch.

While Peni thwarts her way through schemes with SP//DR, Miles plays the long game. He loads her up with value upgrades like Endurance and Down Time (though they’re great on himself too), helping her tank and stabilize the board. Meanwhile, he builds his own engine: Web-Shooter for resource smoothing, Honed Technique to turn events into big attacks, and Combat Training to push his attack output higher.

I originally included Boot Camp for Miles, but it quickly became clear it shines even brighter in Peni’s build. She has the economy to play alliesh allies and the defense to keep them around — making Boot Camp far more impactful on her side.

One MVP in this high-difficulty environment is Target Acquired. Against Standard II and Expert II, canceling a brutal boost effect or a surprise villain upgrade can completely swing momentum. It’s cheap, efficient, and absolutely worth the slot.

Getting Helicarrier down early is a priority. Early on, it accelerates Peni’s setup. Once SP//DR is online, the carrier shifts to fueling Miles’ big turns. The same flexible value applies to Web of Life and Destiny, keeping cards flowing as allies cycle.

Closing the Game

At some point midgame, the board stabilizes. Threat is under control. Minions are handled. That’s when Miles transitions from support to finisher.

Piercing Strike handles tough minions cleanly, and Uppercut and Web-Shot delivers serious burst damage. With Honed Technique online, those events hit extremely hard — just be mindful of resource matching to maximize the boost.

After defeating Sabertooth, I ran the same difficulty setup against Taskmaster, adding Menagerie Medley to the mix. It took a few attempts, but the deck proved itself again. Once threat is stabilized, Miles becomes incredibly satisfying to pilot.

His hero abilities lose a bit of shine in such a punishing villain environment Formidable Foe, but once control is established, he absolutely delivers.

If you look at this deck, or maybe even play it with or without Peni, I wonder what you think of it. Feel free to comment! It will be appreciated.
