Showing my age with this reference, but please, step aside, Paula...

Anyway, I very much like hero Magneto. Hell, I like the villain too. As hero, he's damn versatile. You can play him in Basic, which I have done to good success (it's up here too FYI), along with a lovely Aggression deck too.

Now it's the time of the green brand of things. The idea here is to lean into his Upgrades; Magneto's Cape and Magneto's Armor predominantly to ready and buff him each round.

Upgrades

All grey here; Deft Focus as all his own Events are superpowers, plus Endurance because of course, plus Soaring Acrobatics pairs nicely with Magneto's Cape and Magneto's Armor giving you options with where to spend the +1.

Supports

Will you look at that - grey again?! The X-Jet as a versatile resource and Utopia for some readying, plus, I do like Moira MacTaggert - when you flip up and use Magnetic Pull, you'll have 8 cards in hand. Very nice too.

Allies

Come to me, my X-Men. Offering Tough's, healing, support-mining, confuse/ready, a lovely smorgasbord of options for you.

Events

Healing, damage and readying. On top of his own events, I'd say, especially with Magneto's Bubble you should be all set.

And that's just about it. Pretty straight-forward but equally devastating when you get going.

Options

I thought about Armored Vest, but I wasn't convinced it's necessary. By all means, throw it in if you fancy - an extra card isn't going to break you. I'm not hell-bent on 40 cards decks, especially with a player side scheme or two present.

Synch was a consideration too; slightly pricey, yes, but if you can afford it, pairing up with Soaring Acrobatics and Armored Vest, gets you to 4 DEF, before you've even pulled and results to Magneto's Armor.

If you're feeling extra spicy, throw in Rogue - just a shame it states printed THW and ATK but I suppose we can't have everything.
